This commercial was broadcasted in England. They made the video graphic for a reason. They are trying to stop people from texting and driving. They were using the graphic viewing tactic to scare people, but it is reality.

Why Make The Comparison?

When one is texting and driving their reaction rate will be slower than anyone under the influence of alcohol.

It is evident that texting while driving is taken more lightly than driving intoxicated. There should be a stricter punishment on those texting.

It is proven that texting while driving also kills and the rate of the people texting is climbing toward the rate of those charged with DUI.

Survey Says

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XK3lZrOQWFs

In some states there will be a $100 fine for texting and driving. Having a DUI results in $390 to $1000 in fines.

Some teen’s these days think that $100 is pocket change. The price needs to go up on the fine for DWT or else the teens will not learn.

Why Are So Many People Against It?

One thinks that they can get away with texting and driving, they figure if the police can’t see them then they have nothing to worry about. The truth is, when that person is out on the road, they are not only endangering themselves, but they are endangering those who surround them, such as other drivers and pedestrians. No one should take the fall for ignorance because one thinks they have to be in touch with the world 24/7. The person can wait until the car comes to a complete stop when the person reaches their destination.

When will people understand that 6,000 people were killed in the past year from people being on cell phones? It hurts the loved ones who have to deal with the pain of losing their mother, father or child. This is the reason why texting while driving needs to be taken more seriously.
