plans were designed with you in mind. If you

are looking to enjoy a meal with friends or just

a snack on the go – we’ve got a plan to fit every

appetite.

Each Purple Plan holder has access to both of our

all-you-care-to-eat dining halls with UNLIMITED entry.

Swipe your ECU one card upon each entry from open

to close.

PURPLE BUCKS

Loaded right on your ECU one card and able to be

spent at all locations. Grab a snack or coffee on the go!

PIRATE MEALS

Preset Combo Meals that can be exchanged in our

dining locations without using a dining swipe or dipping

into your Purple Bucks. Entree + Side & Drink.

GUEST MEALS

Each Purple Plan holder receives 5 guest meals per

semester that can be used to treat friends or family

to a meal in the dining hall.

All on campus residents are required to choose one of our Purple All Access plans. Commuters have the ability to choose from

both Purple Plans or Gold Plans.Hover over each option to learn more!

DINING SWIPE

You still have access into the dining halls even if you

don’t have a purple plan. Just use a pirate meal or gold

bucks to experience our All-You-Care-To-Eat dining

halls.

GOLD BUCKS

These are loaded right on your ECU one card and are

able to be spent at all dining locations. Grab a snack or

coffee on the go! Even use them at concessions while

cheering on the Pirates!

PIRATE MEALS

Preset Combo Meals that can be exchanged in our retail

locations without using a dining swipe or dipping into

your gold bucks. Entree + Side & Drink.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a Pirate Meal?A Pirate Meal is a preselected combo at many of our dining locations. An example of one Pirate Meal would be a chicken sandwich, fry, and a drink from Chick-fil-A! Pirate Meals do not roll over semesters.

Can I upgrade my meal plan?You can always increase the type of meal plan you have if you find that your current one is not enough.

Can I add Pirate Meals?You can only reload Pirate Meals by purchasing a new plan. However, you can add Gold Bucks whenever and they don’t expire! Click here to add more Gold Bucks.

What is the difference between Purple/Gold Bucks and Pirate Meals?A Pirate Meal is a preselected combo at specific dining locations around campus. While Bucks (Gold/Purple) are a declining balance of funds on your 1 card to spend on anything you’d like at any dining location around campus.

Can I use financial aid to purchase a meal plan?Yes! A meal plan is bundled in with your tuition so financial aid can be used towards one!

What is the difference between Purple & Gold Bucks? Purple Bucks come with all Purple meal plans to be used at any dining location on campus except for concessions. Purple Bucks roll between Fall and Spring semester but not from year to year. Gold Bucks work the same way as Purple Bucks, but they do not expire, and can always be added to any meal plan.

Your appetite will meet its match at Todd and West End all-you-care-to-eat locations, which serve only the best in quality and variety. With a single swipe of your OneCard, you’ll be able to enjoy all the amenties offered.

With a Purple Plan, experience unlimited entry into the dining halls. Just needing a cup of coffee or a quick snack? No problem! Your Purple all-access plan allows you to come on in as many times as you’d like, which you are going to want! If you have a Gold Plan swipe in as many times as you’d like (up to your allotted number of meals per selected plan).

THE GRILLServing up your favorite grilled classics all day long! This station will satisfy your burger and fries craving... and so much more.

SALAD BARFully self-serve loaded with Freight Farms greens, anassortment of veggies and a wide variety of toppings.

PASTA BAR Create your own perfect pasta using our assortment ofpremium toppings like meatballs, italian sausage, and veggies.

PIZZAOur pizza ovens are fired up all day. Serving the classiccheese & pepperoni in addition to a rotating speciality pie.

Alex has been an RD for over 7 years and is passionate about educating

Pirates on healthy and balanced eating. She is a resource to all students

who need assistance navigating the dining halls, managing food allergies

or making smart dining choices. You may also reach out for a nutrition

consultation for any special needs or individual concerns! Be on the

lookout for fun RD events throughout the year.

Environment Sustainability is a fundamental part ofour mission, guiding how we operate. We reduce our environmental impact through practices that enrichand support the natural environment.

We strive to offer plant-forward dining options at each meal period. Located on campus, we have our very own Freight Farm, which is a climate-controlled hydroponic farm utilized to grow hyperlocal greens for our salad bar in our dining halls. To date, we have harvested over 1,000 heads of lettuce!
