Map of Argentina Scavenger HuntUsing a map or globe, find the following locations and fill-in the answers.

1. In the northwest province of Jujuy is an arid valley called Quebrada de Humahuaca. An important trading route led through here during the Inca Empire. Draw a black path through this province and write “Inca” next to it.

2. To the east, in Misiones, are the Iguazu Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world. Draw blue waterfalls here.

3. Along the northern edge of the Cordoba province are three large lakes. Draw three blue lakes along here.

4. Now, draw an orange star at the top of the Ciudad de Buenos Aires province along the coast. This is the capital, Buenos Aires.

5. South of here are many popular beach towns along the coast. Draw three blue waves to the right of the Ciudad de Buenos Aires province and write “Atlantic”.

6. Further down the coast, in Chubut, the water is colder and whale watching is a popular activity. Draw a simple black whale to the right of Chubut.

7. Along the western border of Argentina are the Andes Mountains. Draw six brown mountain peaks along this border.

8. To the west of these mountains lies Chile. Write “Chile” in red to the left of Argentina.

9. In far west Santa Cruz is Glacier National Park where you can see one of the largest ice fields on the planet. Draw a big block of ice along the border here.

10. Tierra del Fuego is nicknamed “End of the World” and many cruise ships leave from this area. Draw a big boat to the right of this area.
