ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

The technology used in the manufacture

of our connectors is continuously

updated and is the result of indepth

research to optimize both material andproduction processes.

The aluminium alloys employed are

selected to provide the highest

mechanical strength and corrosion

resistance. The bolts are made in

AISI 304 stainless steel or high grade

carbon steel. The torque is calibrated to

prevent conductors from slipping thus

avoiding strain on external surfaces.

PERFORMANCE & DESIGN

AREVA T&Ds full range of connectors

can withstand the electro-mechanicalforces developed during short circuits

up to 80 kA, fully restore the electrical

conductivity of the conductors and

minimize the connector heating at

nominal currents.

The external shapes are designed to

provide the best performance in terms

of corona emission reduction.

Our connectors are designed to

safely couple conductors and tubes

of any size and are suitable for

27.5 kV to 800 kV applications.
