Areas of the Park There are eight main areas of Disneyland: Main Street, Critter Country, Mickey’s Toon Town, Frontierland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and New Orleans Square. Each area is themed, and the rides and environment revolve around the theme. The different areas are connected though, and a map will show visitors the best path around the park. There are also Cast Members all over who are helpful and willing to answer questions. Knowing what is found in each area will make your visit go more smoothly. Maps can be easily found online, and visitors can make a plan before they even leave to determine what areas they want to make a priority. Having a plan when the park opens will help you get more done, especially in the morning hours when the weather is cooler and the park is less full. Take into account that some areas of the park will be closed during certain times of the day, such as Fantasyland during the fireworks show. The Happiest Place on Earth

Before You Go Before you even leave on your trip, it is important to take the time to plan. The more planning you do before leave home, the less stressful your trip will be. Financing your vacation is a good place to start. There are often online deals that offer discounts, and some hotels close to the park also offer discounted tickets. If you plan on going frequently, it might be in your best interest to look into a season pass. Additionally, if you are a California resident, there are additional deals. When choosing a hotel, look into the different accommodations that they offer. To save money, find a hotel that offers a free breakfast, or even better, one that offers free shuttle service to the park. After a long

day, it is exhausting to try to get on the tram and then find your car, and sometimes a nice shuttle ride is the perfect end to your day. Some hotels are even within walking distance. Look carefully to find a hotel that has all the features your family wants.

Tips for the Park FASTPASSES are a must if you want to ride the high-demand rides. Rides like Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and others can lose their appeal when you have to wait in line for hours at a time. To maximize the number of rides you can get to, FastPasses are a great asset. CHARACTERS are walking around all the time. Ask a Cast Member for a schedule of what characters will be out when, and then plan accordingly. This depends on what you are hoping to get out of your experience. Some visitors make characters a priority, while others are focused on the rides. Take advantage of PARADES AND SHOWS While often overlooked, these can provide a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of the park. There is a list of daily events available at most of the main desks in the park.
