Road ConditionsDid you know … that when road conditions are RED, school buses continue to run unless the school is closed? School bus drivers are professionals who have received extensive professional driver training and certification to safely operate a motor vehicle during adverse weather conditions. Senior Army leaders will not permit anyone to drive in road conditions that could potentially put drivers and their passengers in danger.

Clubs’ Hours ExtendedTo better serve customers, all FMWR clubs and bars are temporarily extending their hours until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, starting Jan. 27. The regular night menu will be available at each facility until closing. Casino Royale at CRCThe Camp Red Cloud BOSS program will hold a Casino Royale event at Mitchell’s Club on Camp Red Cloud Jan. 28. The event features Texas Hold ‘Em, Five Card Stud, Blackjack, and more, with prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. For more information, call 732-8189.

Casey Tax CenterThe 2nd Infantry Division Tax Center at Camp Casey will

begin operation Jan. 30 in bldg. 1709B to provide help with filing tax returns. The building is across the street from the Warrior’s Club. Walk-in customers are welcome but those with appointments will be given priority. The Tax Center will be open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday service is available by appointment only on Feb. 11, 18, and 25, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. For appointments or more information, visit the Tax Center or call 730-2568.

Stanley Central Issue FacilityThe Camp Stanley Area I Central Issue Facility (CIF) will be closed Jan. 30 – Feb. 16 while the operation relocates to Camp Hovey. During this period, CIF will operate at Camp Casey out of bldg. 2603, close to the Casey Lodge near Gate 1. Services during the transition will be kept to limited equipment issue and PCS-related turn-ins. All turn-ins must be made by appointment. Normal operations will resume Feb. 17 at Camp Hovey in bldg. 3455. For turn-in appointments, call Yi Chae-kon at 732-5604 or Mun Chang-ho at 730-4883. Ladies Night at HoveyA Jan. 30 Ladies’ Night Out special is on offer at Camp Hovey’s Triangle Club from 5 - 8:30 p.m. Ladies will receive a 10 percent discount on all menu items. For more information, call 730-5167.

USO Birthday PartyThe USO will be hosting its 71st birthday Feb. 3 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., at the Camp Casey USO, bldg. 3025. A spaghetti lunch is to be served, with bread and fresh-grated parmesan cheese. Brig. Gen. Charles. L. Taylor, the 2nd Infantry Division’s assistant division commander for maneuver, is scheduled to attend and cut the honorary cake. For more information, call 730-4813.

Super Bowl XLVIA live telecast of Super Bowl XLVI can be watched starting 6 a.m. Feb. 6. at the Gateway Club on Camp Casey, Mitchell’s Club on Camp Red Cloud, and the Iron Triangle Club on Camp Hovey. Free food and refreshments will be available at both places. At the Gateway, door prizes will be given away throughout the game and two large flat-screen TVs will be given away during the half-time show and at the end of the game. At Mitchell’s Club, there’ll be a chance for one person to win a free Dell laptop. At the Iron Triangle Club, free breakfast will be available from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m., and door prizes will be given. Special Forces RecruitingSpecial Forces recruiters are scheduled to hold briefings at the Camp Casey Education Center for those interested on what it takes to get into the Special Forces. Briefings are Feb. 7 at noon and Feb. 8 at noon and 4:30 p.m. For more information on the briefing schedule, call the Education Center at 730-1826. Banks ClosedCommunity Bank branches in Area I will be closed on various days in February to allow for replacement of its teller systems. The closings are as follows: Camp Hovey, Feb. 9; Camp Red Cloud, Feb. 16; Camp Stanley, Feb. 23; Camp Casey, Feb. 29. For more information call 730-3375.

Customer AppreciationMitchell’s Club at Camp Red Cloud will offer free snacks at a Customer Appreciation Night Feb. 9 from 4:30 - 6 p.m. For more information, call 732-8189.

Drivers Testing ConsolidationThe Drivers Testing Office at Camp Red Cloud has closed temporarily because of a staffing shortage. All driver testing will be handled at bldg. 2101 at Camp Casey. For more information, call 730-2275.
