Paul Birkett, CFA, CPA US, MFIN INSEAD, lectures quants for FRM, as well as corporate finance for LI and LII of the CFA® program. He holds a BSc in Accounting, an MBA from Southeastern Louisiana University, USA, and MFIN at INSEAD. Paul is qualified as a CPA (NY) and is a CFA Charterholder. Prior to joining Africa Special Opportunities Capital (ASO), he worked in Corporate Finance at Investec Bank in Johannesburg and PwC in New York City.

Russell Jude, CFA, FRM, CAIA, CA (SA) is the head of the program. Russell qualified as a CA(SA) in 1996 and obtained his CFA® charter in 1999. Russell lectures across all three levels of the CFA® program as well as the FRM program. He completed his accounting articles at Arthur Andersen in 1998, after which he spent almost 10 years in private equity with Kagiso Ventures, a leading empowerment private equity fund.

Mohamed Ismael, CFA, FRM, MFIN INSEAD, also holds degrees in Advanced Mathematics of Finance and Actuarial Science. Mohamed lectures fixed income across all CFA® levels and also lectures in the FRM program. Mohamed is a fixed income portfolio specialist working for Ashburton Investments. Mohamed previously worked at Momentum Investments and Sanlam Capital Markets in fixed income. Mohamed Ismael
