What is a Brand Audit and why should I do one?
A Brand Audit is a review of everything and anything that your
brand encompasses such as: your website, opt-in downloads,
e-books, podcast, sales pages, social presence, etc. Anything
that provides a touch point with your customers should be included
in this Audit.
Why should you review all of these items? So you can see where
you are at holistically within your brand. You can see the items that
are working as well as those that do not fit in anymore, etc.

Now is the time to really look at WHERE you want to go with your
Brand. Do you want to reach a new audience, be picked up by
mainstream media outlets, be seen as an influencer in your market,
or just refine the overall look and feel for a more cohesive brand?
Once you look through everything you have gathered, and evaluated
where you want to go and why, it will be easier for you to determine
what you need to work on to get you there. This might be a full
re-brand, or maybe just a refresh, tightening up your color palette,
or tweaking your mission statement.

What to research?
After you evaluate what you have and determine the gaps you need to
fill, it is time to research how to get those things done. If you are
going to DIY it, make your list of what you need to research and get to
it! Do you need a new color palette, or up your photography game, is
your copy stale, or do you need to redesign your website, etc? Pinterest
is a great place to start for inspiration. Put a board together and then
map out what and where you want to start.
If you want to work with a professional, do your research there as
well. Look online or ask for a reference from a trusted source.

Make it happen!
From the research that you have completed, it is time to map
out your plan. This process will need to happen whether you DIY it
or hire out to do the work. Put a plan in place, with dates and
checkpoints, and get it done!
