What are Toffel Clogs?

We often seem to use or hear the terms clog sandals and toffel clogs synonymously.

'Toffel' is the Swedish term for 'slipper'.

Toffel clogs are easy to wear clogs. All you need to do is simply slip into them like you slip into slippers.

Difference between Toffel Clogs and Clog Sandals

Toffel clogs are what we usually refer as 'open heel clogs'.

Toffel clogs don't have closed heels or ankle straps.

Clog sandals, on the other hand, support your heel with the help of ankle straps.

How are Handmade Toffel Clogs Crafted?

Toffel clogs don't particularly have a different crafting process than other models of clogs.

Leather hides are fastened or lasted on top of the wooden bottoms (or wooden soles).

Again, the only difference while crafting toffel model clogs is that no ankle straps are attached to the heel.

To Increase the Lifecycle of your Toffel Clogs

Try to keep your wooden toffel clogs away from water.

If your toffels do get wet for some reason – wipe them clean and let them dry at room temperature.

If the wooden sole becomes dirty then try cleaning it with slightly damp cloth.
