a magic transformation will take place again in Lvcvs avgvstvs from June 13th to June 16th on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the arde Lvcvs festival, this year a wide range programme of activities will be offered to celebrate it in style.

We will enjoy an incredibly and unique magical experience that will make us travel back in time.

The whole population in Lugo, so proud of the glorious past of Lvcvs avgvstvs, will take the streets to celebrate and rekindle our history.

The active involvement and contribution of the historical reenactment associations is essential for the dissemination and popularization of arde Lvcvs, in addition our ancient city hosts a terrific and rich patrimony: its roman Wall, its archaeological sites and last but not least its delicious gastronomy and stunning landscapes.

The involvement of our people is one of most special and remarkable feature in this festival, they make Lugo a welcoming and

open-door city for the visitor and every stone surrounding the city is imbued with ancient times scents, tastes and sounds.

Thanks to the active contribution of our citizens, social workers, schools, sport clubs, private organisms and of course, the associations; arde Lvcvs becomes a global benchmark for historical reenactment festivals.

We would like to express our gratitude to all visitors, troops and legions visiting the city.

Come and dive with us into our history, travelling back in time with Keltic tribes and roman legions of Lvcvs avgvstvs.
