Concept For Our Video As the song is about someone going back to ‘505’ and our audience we
asked said the location to be in a home we have decided that it is a male character (actor) returning back to a house where a woman lives, therefore 505 is a house number. So the music video will be about a guy named Sean returning back to a house that his ex lives in.
This will be Narrative based following his journey to his Exes house with flashbacks to the past of him being with his ex then fast forward to the present. However closely to the end there will be a fight scene in the past and then it’ll jump to the present of him standing in front of her house.
In the end of the video he turns up to his exes house and she is found dead on the floor.
There will also be shots of the singer singing as well as shots of the band playing the music.
Characters + Performers Shaun: In the past videos he is happy and smiley and full of
love. This is due to the fact he is with his girlfriend (Natasha). However when we fast forward to the present he is seen to have no emotion what so ever. In the present he is dressed in dark colours which contrasts to the present where he will be seen in lighter colours showing a difference in character.
Natasha: In the past, Natasha is seen as joyful and full of life. She is all loving towards her boyfriend at the time. However near to the end of the music video they get into a fight and and argue with each other and start yelling and throwing things. Then when it returns to the present she is found dead by her ex as she kills herself.
Locations House: To do the fight scene as well as finding
Natasha dead on the floor. Forest, Outside, Park: Showing Sean’s journey to
his ex’s house. Winter Wonderland: When shooting the past
memories of Sean and Natasha together.
Edits and Lighting As we are including flashbacks and as it is
narrative and performance based there will be a mixture of cuts and different shots. This will all be incorporated when we listen to the song and see which parts it will fit in better with. The chorus will be a mixture of performance and narrative
The lighting for our video will be quite dark and even darker with the memories showing a contrast to the past. The only brightness will be when the singer is singing as well as the present.
