The project’s volume is a composition of differents shapes from contrasting materials, that come from the abstraction of the abandonedPier (Puerto Colombia) and its merchant ships, historical symbol of the community.

El Volumen del proyecto surge de una composiciónde formas diferentes a partir de materiales contrastantes, que provienen de la abstracción del abandonado Muelle (Puerto Colombia) y sus buques mercantes, símbolo histórico de la comunidad.

The Design intends to provide natural ventilation to all the cabin rooms, by placing windows perpendicular to thedominant breezes.

El diseño tiene la intención de proporcionar ventilación natural a todas las habitaciones de la cabaña, mediante la colocación de ventanas perpendiculares a las brisas dominantes.

VIVIENDA DE INTERES SOCIAL

Mediante el proceso de autoconstrucción el diseño propone, la ampliación de la unidad básica, al adaptarsea diferentes necesidades de tipo económico y social, permitiendo el hogar convertirse en una unidad productiva.

El sistema constructivo de los muros de la casa creado por el Arquitecto Nader Khalil, permite a las mismas personasinvolucrarse en la construcción, y permite el uso de los materialesinvolucrarse en la construcción, y permite el uso de los materialesdisponibles en el sitio, como el adobe y la paja.

Through the selfconstruction process, the design propose the expansion of the base unit, to adapt the house to different economic and social needs allowing the home to become a productive unit.

The construction system of the house walls, created by architect Nader Khalil, allows the future owners to get involved in the construction, and allows the use of materialsinvolved in the construction, and allows the use of materialsavailable on the site, such as adobe and straw.

TELECOM BUILDING INTERVENTIONINTERVENCIÓN EDIFICIO TELECOMEste edicio diseñado por el Arq. Manuel de Andreis, se constituye como un simbolo de la arquitectura modernaen la ciudad de Barranquilla. Actualmente su deplorable estado y abandono, comprometen su conservación.

La propuesta de diseño reutiliza la existente estructura y genera una nueva edicación adosada a éste, pero manteniendolas proporciones de la antigua edicación. las proporciones de la antigua edicación.

Las acciónes mas signicativas, son la conservación de unos murosinteriores originales y la adecuación del espacio, en diferentessalas propuestas para la creación del museo de lastelecomunicaciones.

This building designed by architect Manuel de Andreis,is a symbol of modern architecturein in Barranquilla city. Currently its deplorable state undertake conservation.

The proposed design reuses the existing structure andgenerates a new building attached to it, but keeping

the proportions of the old building.

The complex is developed through the integration of 5 buildings consisting of 2housing towers, an office tower, a shopping center and a theater. The project offersto its users more than 4,600 m2 of squares, oriented to the integration with the structure

existing environmental Virrey Park.

El complejo se desarrolla mediante la integración de 5 Edicios compuestos por 2torres de vivienda, 1 torre de ocinas, 1 centro comercial y 1 teatro. El proyecto ofrecea sus usuarios mas de 4.600 m2 de plazoletas, orientadas a la integracion con la estructura

ambiental existente del Parque del Virrey.
