Notre-Dame-de-Québec

• The Notre-Dame de Quebec basilica-cathedral was built in 1647. It has been destroyed twice by fire over the centuries, and has always been rebuilt on the same spot the original church was built.

Escalier Casse-Cou

• These stairs are the oldest in Québec city, and was built around 1635. In 1835 the old wooden stairs were replaced by iron stairs.

Le Musée de la Civilisation

• The museum was opened in 1988, and is open year round. It was designed by McGill University. Exhibit texts are in French and English.

La Maison Jacquet

• This is one of the largest houses in the upper-town in old Québec, and it was built in 1675-1676. It has really thick walls, solid joints, and marvelous wainscoting.
