Landscape Architect – Position Overview The Architect will be responsible for leading the design team on projects that involve structures of any type. They will create conceptualdrawings for clients by hand and computer generated models that help clients visualize their new space. The Architect will collaborate regu-larly with the Sales Representative, the Client and the Production staff to develop creative living spaces both indoors and outdoors. They willcreate cost estimates, detail construction plans, obtain permits, create change orders and ensure the integrity of the design is protected dur-ing installation.

Essential Responsibilities:• Use Auto CADD software for design• Create concept plans in collaboration with landscape designer(s)• Create 3-D plans • Create construction details for designs• Work with vendors and suppliers to find the best and highest

quality options for projects• Create detailed schedule of materials for jobs• Develop cost estimates • Keep cost book pricing updated• Prepare proposals, contracts and change orders• Obtain building permits• Assist Sales Team with client changes and revisions

Position Requirements:• BS Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or related field• Licensed Architect or Landscape Architect in state of Virginia• 5+ years of documented experience designing some or all of the

following: landscape structures (pools, spas, trellis’, pergolas, arbors), decks, covered porches, sunrooms, pool houses, cabanas, pavilions and other outdoor spaces

Preferred Requirements:• Virginia Certified Horticulturist

Compensation:• This is a salary position • $50,000-$70,000 annually pending capabilities
