Although he had made contributions to multiple fields, the Greek, Archimedes (287 B.C.E. – 212 B.C.E.), was primarily a famous mathematician, engineer, and physicist. His life was mostly covert and unrecorded, but he along with the other Greek mathematicians was considered to be one of the greatest scientists of old. Making drastic advancements in mathematics (specifically geometry), he is also known for creating machines that were far ahead of his time period in history.
