What does it take to do well in this course?

• There are some new vocabularies that I need to know!

Axis = Symmetry = Hierarchy = Rhythm = Datum = Transformation = Visual Ability = Auditory Ability = Artistic Skills = Design Skills = Self knowledge = self-Confidence = Self-Evaluation.

However, I seriously have no idea what it is....What I can do! I can do better in my life to keep reading book.

What else I can improve my thinking! Studying and learning in my all architecture classes.

My Final Project This is my final design project that I force on the wall. This design is about transformation to the wall. When I do this project, I figure out that I love to design to make own design by myself. Sometime, it take 3 hours or more to finish, but it’s ok cause I love it!!!

My Own Design Be honestly, I don’t know what I’m doing In this design. I totally get lose from my thinking and idea. However, it was about triangle to force on the wall. I tried to make something interesting in my design.Sometime, I looked at this again, I felt this was a trash!!!!!

My Homework Seriously, when I make something in design that I don’t know how to explain what it is about. Sometime, I ask myselfwhat this about! How to tell people what I’m doing in this design! How to convince people like my design!I think this point is important. In my personal, it all about Wall of piece.

Thinking Of Design I think when I make any design that I will say this is cool. However, it is “sucks” that I never think about. For me, thinking designdefine as creativity and build something new. My idea is to make more powerful inmy design, but how I can do that and what else I should know about. My point is those pictures to figure out how to connect theWall.

What I Know Now

• What do I learn from Architecture 101 class?

Seriously, I don’t know what to tell. But, this class helped me a lot of thinking. I figured out some vocabularies that I need to know is Axis, symmetry, Hierarchy, Rhythm, Datum, and Transformation. Those words is important for Architecture.

Create quality, Create meaning, Create knowledge, Create with

principles.

What is Architecture? Of course, people will know what

Architecture is…However, I ask myself what is Architecture? Definition as I know architecture is:

1, Any human being- made building or structure.

2, People made building or structure that is important , large or highly creative.

3, A carefully designed object , such a chair, a spoon.

4, A design for a city, town, park, or landscape.

5, The art or science of designing and building, structures, objects, and outdoor spaces.

6, A building style or method.

How Does Architecture Happen?• I actually have no idea how does

architecture happen! However, I researched from the web. It says “Make Architecture Happen is a crowd funding platform for architects, designers, and industry affiliates who want to raise money to make their most ambitious projects a reality”.

Why do I need to know that? This is because my major is

architecture>>>

Are All Buildings Architecture? In my personal, I will say

“YES” because a man-made create the building is called architecture.

Are all houses architecture? I have no idea.. But it will be

architecture for all houses. I think all designing and creative is part of architecture.

I have a good question. What happen for all buildings in the world if the war comes!!!!And what happen for all houses if the earthquake!!!!!!

Team Work On Final ProjectFinally, my final project started, I have some problem for doing this projectBecause my team work didn’t know what we’re doing. I think big problem is costing for our team. We don’t know what material we should buy and how much will be cost.

“Design Concept And Approaches”

“Two of our main goals were to provide seating and a private place to promote conversation. In our three sections there are three contrasts , a private vs. public, an inwards vs. outwards, and a daydreaming vs. conversation space. Each section is designed with seating for one person to reflect on things and

daydream, seating for two people to gather and conversewith strangers or friends, and seatingfor four people to promote social interaction”.

“Rational for material selection and construction method”

“While coming to the realization that our structure needed to be strong and stand almost parallel to the wall, we had concluded that we should create a strong skeleton, then to make that skeleton more eye-catching and draw people in, we decided to try and create a similar style to Kengo Kuma. For the skin, we decided to make a financial decision and use recycled wood from wooden pallets”.

“Narrative and Site Selection Rational”

“Our group decided to choose this section of the wall, because we were all drawn to the six panels with faces, We wanted to create a place for not only seating, but also one that had a story behind it. Within this structure people are able to encounter three different spaces. Starting with the most personal, the seat for only one person is designed with an open ceiling to promote day dreaming. We chose one of the most relaxed, calm faces to frame. The second space is for 2 people to inhabit, and it promotes conversation. The last space is the largest seating for 4 people, and it promotes community”.

“Site Design Analysis” “Something unique about the

spot we chose is the fact that there are six enormous panels in the middle of our selection, but there were only attached holes on the outside of the panels. This means that for us to begin the design, we needed to create something which was mainly supported by the outer side of our panels. With that in mind, we decided to transform our original design”.

“Design Hypothesis” “To conclude our questions, we

learned from every single mistake we made, so we could fix them. Towards the beginning of this project, we were all lost, but once we came together on our concept, we really stuck with it and had a plan. Our design transformed as we discussed and conceptualized what our plan was”.

“Response And Concepts” “This selection may not

have been the easiest, because our group soon realized that the extremely wide space required a strong support system capable of housing people, so they could interact with each other”.

Our Class Presentation In this project, we tried to discuss about

the transformation to the wall. We force on the face from the panels. The face describe the human emotion. I learned something new in my final project that I played the tools and I really enjoyed it. It doesn’t mean I like to build house.

Final Design Project

“Critical Questions” “How do we draw people In?”

“How are we going to cover the faces we don’t want seen?”

“How are we going to support this structure?”

“How are we going to find an order of putting skin on the frame?”

“How to make sure that nothing is going to share or wobble and be unstable?”

Thinking about my Final Project to work with my classmates. I felt exciting about what we do. Of course, we had some problem when we started to build our design. We discussed about the materials that we need to buy and how much will be cost. But I totally got lose for this final project because we kept planning our design and made something interesting. What I learned from final project? I thought a lot of things that I have to work with my classmates that we were creative something new from the design.

“Findings Discoveries and Insights” “First off, we all understood that in order to finish this structure, we were

all going to need to come to work on the structure outside of class, and with busy schedules, all four of us were not going to be able to be there during those times. We also realized that time wasn’t on our side; it wasn’t until our time was almost up that we realized we needed to all work faster and more efficiently. That is exactly what we did. One of your weaknesses was that our design at first wasn’t very strong. We all had strong concepts, and no matter what we messed up on, we would solve the problem immediately; for example, we put our support system up and realized that our pieces that were attached to the wall were not straight. We then took them off and re-did them, Every time we made a mistake we learned how to improve and make it better”.

Conclusion In this semester, what I learned from architecture

101 class! I think the most important is creative and thinking for design and how to explain what I made for any designs and how to convince people to like my design. I figured out I like to work on final project with classmates that I learned a lot thing how to construction and creation.
