ARC Process


Getting Registered to ARC

Update Information


Email Notification

Once after submitting registration to ARC, Customer will receive the email for confirmation.

Select the link provided in that email to verify.

Note: It will take 2 working days to approve the request from Autodesk administrator.


Downloading Software

Go to ARC portal www.autodesk.com/academic login with

username & password.

Accessing Serial Number

Once after selecting the software & Version, in the next webpage you can find “Serial Number” & “Product Key”

Same thing will be send in your email.


Obtaining System Information for License File to

Activate Software.

First you need to Note the Physical address & name of the Server to apply for the License File

1. Open the Command Prompt window by clicking on Start ➤➤➤➤ (All) Programs ➤➤➤➤ Accessories ➤➤➤➤ Command Prompt

Note: If you do not have access to the Command Prompt, please contact your IT department, or someone with

administrative rights to your machine, to help you locate the information


2. Type ipconfig/all and press the Enter key


4. Your Host Name will appear at the top, under the section Windows IP Configuration.

Your Physical Address will appear under the sectionEthernet adapter Local Area Connection.

Note: Do not use the physical address for any Wireless or Bluetooth devices, as these are not valid and your Network license

will not work. If there is more than one physical Ethernet connection, it does not matter which one you use.


Activation

After granting Serial Number, Product Key & System Information Customer should get License File from ARC


Request License File

� After collecting the appropriate server information, you are ready to request a license from Autodesk.

� Go to https://registeronce.autodesk.com.

� If you have already registered your product, enter your Autodesk ID and Password and then click Login. If you have

not yet registered your product, you will need to Create an Autodesk ID


Create User ID

Login with new User ID


Enter the Product Serial Number which

you have obtained from ARC

Enter the System Information which

you have obtained from Command

Prompt.

Once after submitting the information, Customer will receive the License file. Which is a notepad file..


Installation & Configuration of License FIle


Run the exe file which is downloaded from ARC.


Select Country or Region

Accept the License

Agreement


Select These Tools to Install


LMTOOLS Application will be available on the desktop Launch the application to configure the license.


This file you can find at C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Network License ManagerAccess this folder, select lmgrd.exe & select open


Copy the License file which is accessed from registration to the folder mentioned belowC:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Network License ManagerSelect that license file & select open


Click on Browse, just type “debug” select open


Make sure to check both the option to start-up server Automatically
