SafetyAs a general rule, cyclists
should ‘keep left’ to minimise
potential for accidents on the
cycleway. Helmets should
be worn whilst cycling.
The 12 km Gribble Creek off-road
cycleway provides a trunk route from
South Boulder to Hannans. It mainly
accommodates recreational and
leisure cyclists. There are a further 16
km of shared use paths linking this
cycleway to residential areas and
schools. Provisions are being made
for other types of cyclists including
high speed and commuter cyclists
through future expansion of the
cycling network as funding becomes
available. The Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Cycleways maps will be updated as
required to fulfil this requirement. The
present map contains existing on and
off-road pathways only.
Centennial Park was chosen as
the central reference point to
compare distances for many of
the destinations, including Karlkurla
Bushland Park in the north to Burt
Street in the south.
