The 40-acre development is the home for local shipping companies and a distribution facility for international freight to the whole of the Bahamas. Project Description BHM was appointed by Arawak Port Development Limited for the construction of the landside facilities for the new Port on Arawak Cay to service the island of New Providence and a vital link for goods transfer to the Family Islands. The works included:- Bulk earthworks and preparation for terminal areas Asphalt and concrete surfacing to Container stacking areas All associated ancillary works Construction of access and service roadways Utilities, drainage, lighting, and landscaping for terminal areas Demolition of two earthen water reservoirs and ancillary works Electrical and telecom works. www.bhm.construction

Background

Since 2005 BHM has executed multiple projects at the Freeport Container Port creating over 30 acres of container stacking areas inclusive of GS6, Delta 2,3,4, ASC, Shoreline protection Works, and Roadway Rehabilitation of Alpha and Bravo Blocks.
