Article 50 law number 68/2015 obliges licensed domestic labor offices to rectify their status according to the new law, or else, they will lose their license. Article 17 of Ministerial Decision Number 2194/2016 stipulates withdrawal of license issued to a domestic labor office upon the instruction of the Interior Minister in certain situations: If the office violated licensing conditions, if it provided false information, in case of its dissolution, sub- licensing activities, transformation of its branches into housing units for domestic workers, among others. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department disclosed the decision took effect Sunday and the affected domestic labor offices have been included on the security list barring issuance of visa. Meanwhile, Al-Ajmi confirmed receiving 41 applications from domestic labor offices and four companies that fulfilled the legal requirements stipulated in Law Number 86/2015 and the relevant ministerial decisions. The Open Championship for Arabian Beautiful Horse concluded at Bait Al-Arab (Kuwait State Stud) as part of the Fifth Kuwait Arabian Horse National Championship sponsored by HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with the participation of 299 horses and Kuwaiti stables. Speaking on behalf of the sponsor of the competition, Minister of Information and Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud considers it an honor and pride to represent HH the Crown Prince in this heritage festival. He praised the efforts of organizers in “attracting a large number of distinguished equestrian sports enthusiasts.” The festival, which kicked off Friday, included the qualifying round for the beautiful Arabian horses national cham- pionship. It will continue next week — from Nov 18-19 — with the Beautiful Egyptian Horses competition. 68% of candidates representing 1st Constituency have varsity degrees High school graduates constitute 8.3% KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13, (KUNA): Many candi- dates of the First Constituency for the National Assembly (par- liament) elections for the 15th legislative term, slated for Nov 26, 2016, have high level of educa- tion. More than half of them are 50 years, or over. Out of the total 72 nomi- nees of the First Constituency, as the registration ended for the race, there are 49 (68.05 percent) with university degrees; 16 (22.22 percent) who carry diplomas; six (8.33 percent) are high school graduates, and just one candi- date completed intermediate school, 1.38 percent. Among the 49 nominees with academic degrees, 13 have PhDs in social politics, law, constitu- tional law, statistics, security management, pharmacology, medicine, eye surgery, physical education, educational manage- ment, computer, Information Systems and Science of Hadith. Seven nominees have MAs in economy, industrial manage- ment, military sciences, law, public law, private law, engi- neering management and funda- mentals of religion. Twenty-nine BA holding nom- inees studied medicine, surgery, law, economy, geography, histo- ry, engineering, mechanical engineering, civilian engineer- ing, political sciences, and accounting. The 16 candidates with diplo- mas are specialized in sciences, mechanical engineering, oil industries, secretarial work. Candidates of the First Constituency in the 2013 parlia- mentary elections hit 51. Thirty-four of them (66.66 percent) had university degrees; nine (17.64 percent), had diplo- mas; five (0.8 percent) were high school graduates, and three (5.88 percent) candidates completed the intermediate school. Among the 34 nominees with university degrees, eight had PhDs in education management, IT, education, statistics, law, physiology of sports science and nutrition, security management, physical education, philosophy and philosophy of international relations. Four candidates with MAs studied computer science, librar- ies, business administration and management of human resourc- es. BA nominees, 22, were quali- fied in media, international rela- tions, business administration, arts, political sciences, fine arts, economy civilian engineering, geography, history, law, scienc- es, and accounting. The nine diploma candidates studied navigation communica- tion, electricity, zoology, secre- tary work, applied sciences, physical education, banking, police science and commerce. Candidates for the First Constituency in the 2012 parlia- mentary elections hit 59 as regis- tration deadline ended. Among the 59 candidates, 34 (57.62 percent) had university degrees; nine (17 percent) had diplomas; six (0.16 percent) were high school graduates, and two candidates (3.38 percent) completed the intermediate school. Seven of the 34 had PhDs in literary criticism, statistics, phi- losophy, international relations, computer technology, organ transplant, law, oral surgery. Six had MAs in engineering, military sciences, political sci- ences, media and special educa- tion. Nov 13, 2016 Kuwait Today Winning ‘Stevie Award’ important: CAIT KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13, (KUNA): The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) underlined importance that Kuwait’s e-gate won bronze prize in non-profit orga- nizations category as part of International Business Awards (IBAs). In a press statement on Sunday, the CAIT said the country’s e-gate outperformed all gates across the globe that number 3,800 from orga- nizations of all types in more than 60 nations. It added the IBAs are one of the best prizes in the world, noting that the award was created in 2002 to recognize accom- plishments and contributions of companies and business people across the globe. The IBAs’ arbitration committee lauded the State of Kuwait’s e-gate in terms of information services that it provides, it said. The IBAs’ competent committee also extolled the design of e-gate which was done in line with the global standards, it made clear. The country’s e-gate includes 1,744 elec- tronic services and information provided by 57 bodies from both the public and private sectors. There are also further services from other bodies like the Ministry of Electricity and Water and others, the statement said. The number of people who visited the gate hit 5.1 million, while the number of pages viewed was about 13.8 million since the beginning of this year until Oct 30.

Winning ‘Stevie Award’ important: CAITKUWAIT CITY, Nov 13, (KUNA): The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) underlined importance that Kuwait’s e-gate won bronze prize in non-profit orga-nizations category as part of International Business Awards (IBAs).

In a press statement on Sunday, the CAIT said the country’s e-gate outperformed all gates across the globe that number 3,800 from orga-nizations of all types in more than 60 nations.

It added the IBAs are one of the best prizes in the world, noting that the award was created in 2002 to recognize accom-plishments and contributions of companies and business people across the globe.

The IBAs’ arbitration committee lauded

the State of Kuwait’s e-gate in terms of information services that it provides, it said.

The IBAs’ competent committee also extolled the design of e-gate which was done in line with the global standards, it made clear.

The country’s e-gate includes 1,744 elec-tronic services and information provided by 57 bodies from both the public and private sectors.

There are also further services from other bodies like the Ministry of Electricity and Water and others, the statement said.

The number of people who visited the gate hit 5.1 million, while the number of pages viewed was about 13.8 million since the beginning of this year until Oct 30.
