Accountability for the Complete Power SystemA complete power system from Cummins Power Generation addresses every aspect of onsite power delivery no matter how far you expand or how complex your power system topology. We manufacture and assemble all of the key components, exercising the industrys highest degree of design and performance control.

    High-horsepower Generator Sets

    Rugged, fuel-

    efficient engines,

    high-performance

    alternators and

    on-board digital

control systems comprise the most trusted and

reliable generator sets in the world. Sophisticated

emission control technologies make our diesel-

    powered generators the most environmentally

efficient (and regulatory compliant) generator sets

    available to the power industry.

    Power Distribution

    PowerCommand

    paralleling systems

    integrate paralleling

    controls on generator sets,

    low or medium voltage

    power sections, automatic

transfer switches, and a digital master control (DMC)

for supervisory functions. A distributed logic concept

is critical for achieving world-class performance,

ensuring generator sets effectively manage voltage

dips that occur during load transfer.

    Cummins automatic transfer switches feature

    PowerCommand control technology for easy

operation and a robust, high-contact-force design to

withstand thousands of switching cycles. A full line of

standard switches is available for the entire range of

    power systems.

    Digital Controls Technology

    PowerCommand

    microprocessor-based

    controls comprise the

    industrys best single-

    source solution, capable of

    integrating generator sets,

automatic transfer switches and paralleling systems

into a complete system. Modular systems are easily

configured to meet power requirements, including

    paralleling, non-paralleling and basic control

    scenarios.

    Remote Monitoring and Control

    PowerCommand remote monitoring and control

capabilities provide visibility to power system

performance whether onsite or offsite. Operators can

monitor engine and alternator data, control system

status, power transfer connection status and load

level from any computer using a Web browser.

    Description

The Universal Annunciator Module provides visual and audible indication of up to 20 separate alarm or status conditions, based on discrete (relay) inputs or network inputs. Each LED can be controlled by either a discrete wire input or by a signal on the PCCnet network sent from an external device, such as a PCC 1301, 1302, 2300, 3300 controls. In addition to the LEDs, the annunciator can control four custom relays based on signals received over the PCCnet. When one of the annunciators discrete inputs is activated, the annunciator will broadcast that information over the network. By taking advantage of the network, discrete inputs and custom relays, the annunciator can be used as expanded I/O for PCC 1301, 1302, 2300, 3300 controls.

This unit can be easily installed in a suitable location in order to provide prompt at-a-glance notification of an alarm or warning condition to nearby personnel.

The PowerCommand iWatch 100 system provides convenient means for remotely monitoring generator sets and transfer switches that are interconnected with a Cummins Echelon LonWorks network using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher browser operating on a remote personal computer (PC).

The use of a browser rather than dedicated software for remote monitoring eliminates the need for dedicated monitoring software on the monitoring PC, and allows any authorized user on the customers network to monitor the equipment. Many users can monitor the generator or transfer equipment simultaneously. Access to the monitored site and the PowerCommand iWatch 100 can be password protected for different levels of users. These passwords are user defined.

PowerCommand iWatch 100 users can monitor generator set data including engine data, alternator data, and control system status. They can start or stop the generator set. The user can also monitor connected transfer switches for status (source availability, source data, and source connected) as well as load level (when the transfer switch is provided with that feature).

    iWatch 100 Remote Monitoring Unit

    Features

Easy access to generator set and transfer switch data: Allows access to information over any personal computer without the problems associated with loading software and keeping it up to date.

Easy to use and understand graphical interface: Data is presented to user in a pictorial format that is easy to understand. The graphical displays provide comprehensive data without complexity.

Sends emails on alarm conditions: Allows generator set and transfer switches to send email messages on alarm conditions using an SMTP server.Note: SMS paging of the alarms can only be accomplished through an SMTP email server that supports email to SMS paging. Most providers carry this feature. Please check with your pager service provider to verify support of this feature.

Configurable for user access codes: Allows for configurable user names and passwords.

Local data logging: The PowerCommand iWatch 100 system can be configured for data-logging parameters on the network. Data stored may be accessed via either local or remote PCs.

Certifications: UL listed, CE, and FCC compliant. Warranty and service: Backed by the standard

PowerCommand network and accessory/parts warranty and worldwide distributor service network.

    Description

InPower is a PC-based service and maintenance tool that is designed to optimize service and maintenance activities associated with Cummins PowerCommand products.

InPower uses the widely understood and powerful Windows Explorer format to provide easy access to the softwares many functions. The software also has function key access to commonly used commands such as connect/disconnect, save, strip chart and monitor functions, and exit commands.

Because of the comprehensive access it provides, Cummins recommends that users attend a training class to familiarize themselves with control and operation of the tool and how it can impact the operation of their equipment. Inappropriate set up and adjustments can result in misoperation of the equipment it connects to. For users that are in need of a simple monitoring tool only without the service access of InPower, Cummins recommends use of Cummins Power Generation iWatch or PowerCommand 500 series products.

    InPower PC Service Tool

    Features

InPower provides the following functions for monitored equipment: Direct connection capability from a personal

computer to PowerCommand genset controls, transfer controls and system controls; including PowerCommand 1300 series, 2100, 3100, 3200 series genset controls; OTPC and BTPC transfer switch controls; and PowerCommand System Controls, including MCM3320 and SYNC1320.

Connection to generator set or transfer switch controls via modem or to multiple controls via PowerCommand (LonWorks) Network.

Allows the monitored equipment to send alarm information to a connected computer.

Configurable for units of measurement and level of user access (read only, read/change values, administrator).

Adjustment of nearly every adjustment parameter within the connected control system, including parameters such as voltage and frequency levels, gains, protection set-points and other values.

Convenient programming of configurable inputs in the controllers.

Viewing of equipment history, fault codes and data associated with fault codes.

Generates reports of monitored data. Plot critical parameters in a strip-chart format and

export data to 3rd party software tools, such as Windows Office Products, for manipulation and viewing.

Simulate fault conditions in genset controls in compliance to NFPA 110 requirements to demonstrate functionality of the controller and monitoring equipment in a facility.
