GEnERAL MAnAGER’SMESSAGE

Dear Members,

We hope you are

having a great

year so far! We are

pleased to inform

that in addition to

having access to the

facilities at Singapore

Swimming Club, our

Members are now

able to bring up to

10 guests to enjoy the facilities with effect from 15

March. Before making your way down, please note the

terms and conditions, as well as guest fees pertaining

to the usage of facilities in the mailed out letter to

you, informing you of your privileges at the Singapore

Swimming Club. Details can also be found at www.

lagunanational.com.

On the golfing front, I would like to take this opportunity

to congraulate our up-and-coming junior, Desmond

Kim, who had displayed exceptional perfomance among

the Singapore Junior Amature Ranks in 2013. He has

recently been selected to join the Singapore Golf

Association Development Squad. Well done!

The selection process for the 2014 SGA Interclub

League has also been completed. Members who will be

representing Laguna National include promising young

stars from our Grassroots Junior Programme, Johnathan

Ho and Andrew Alcott. The 44 selected Members

have just returned from their bonding game in Batam,

Indonesia where Laguna National hosted the team to a

practice and team bonding session. Do read more about

it on page 57. As practice leading up to the League

continues, the Management has offered additional

professional support from our Touring Professionals

- Scott Barr, Lam Chih Bing and Zaw Moe - together

with our Club Teaching Professionals - Allen Kelly and

Shinji Fukushima - to conduct golf clinics for the players

in preparation for the intense competition ahead. The

first golf clinic conducted by Scott Barr can be found on

page 52.

We are also happy to inform that the temporary

Mulligan’s Corner is now completed and operational. It

is located at the Hole 10 tee box on the Masters Course,

along with new refreshment menu.

Thank you for bearing with us while the new hotel is

under construction. We are well on schedule with the

construction plan and on track for the hotel’s soft

opening in late 2015. The team greatly appreciates your

patience and understanding as we go through these

changes together with the upgrading of the Masters

Course and the World Classic Course.

Thank you all for making Laguna National your second

home.

It is our pleasure to continue updating you on the progress of the Dusit thani Laguna Singapore hotel and villas, as well as the new Country Club and renovated

Golf Clubhouse at Laguna national. Contributed by Patrick Bowers

In this issue, we shift our focus to the

planned restaurant and event venue that

is currently under construction on the site

of the former Mulligan Corner. We invite

you to peer into our soon-to-be 19th Hole

restaurant that will be stunningly located

as a backdrop to the penultimate golf hole

- the 18th green of the Masters course.

An unpretentious, contemporary-themed

restaurant with striking sight lines that

are unparalleled in Singapore, the new

restaurant will offer an array of delectable

options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as

well as a cozy bar and relaxing patio to

view the setting sun.

The New RestaurantImagine that you have just putted out

on the 18th for that elusive birdie. Your

golfing kakis in the flight behind you have

been chatting you up all day, telling you

how well they have been playing and

that come the end of the round, they are

planning to win all the bets. With your

birdie in hand, you can now turn your

attention to watching those big talkers

play into the final green, knowing the

match is on the line and you have a birdie

in your pocket! A quintessential 19th

Hole, where you can grab a cold beer and

some comfort food as you watch them

play in from the verandah… is elusive in

the Singapore golf scene. Alas, no more,

as soon Laguna’s Members and their

guests will indeed be able to conclude a

great day on the golf course in exactly the

manner described above. We will be able

to tell from the groans or the cheers, who

ended up triumphant in the match!

The AtmospherePlanned unpretentiously and affordable,

this restaurant will be the relaxed dining

option for our Golf Members and their

guests. It will be a stylish dining concept

that offers good value for money. It will

incorporate a rich, comfortable setting,

considerate of personal space. Veranda

living with free flowing air on the deck

space interconnected with air-conditioned

interiors and sweeping views of the golf

courses. The menu will feature time-

tested local and international favorites like

noodles, fried rice, gourmet burgers, ribs,

wings, chicken rice and laksa. Great ice

cold beers on draft, modestly-priced wines

and cocktails will round out the whole

dining experience.

The new restaurant is also planned as the

site of social interaction and mingling of

the Members. Newspapers, magazines,

books and complimentary hi-speed wifi

will be a mainstay, encouraging one to

lounge around before or after their round.

Not forgetting televisions to catch the

latest sports updates.

The SpacesThe floorplan has been conceptualized

with multifunction in mind. During regular

golfing days, it will serve beautifully for

breakfast, lunch, dinner, halfway house

and bar for our Members and their

guests. Should the Club be hosting a

Member’s competition, the restaurant

can be transformed into a more event

style space effortlessly, complete with an

entertainment and prize table stage and

the capacity to host up to 240 players. On

those occasions where a Member would

like to host a corporate gathering, the

unique tiered floor will allow Members of

the day to use the cozy bar and tables,

while the Member hosting their VIP might

be allocated a nice private space on the

lower tier for 40 to 80 of their VIPs.

The ProgrammeWe appreciate you bearing with us

during this upgrade. We do understand

that this has caused some inconvenience

around the normal departure zones for

the golf courses. However, one of the

prime motivators for fast-tracking the

construction of this restaurant now, is our

intention to have it ready and available

for the Membership during the upcoming

full renovation of the existing clubhouse.

Therefore, rather than having utilize a

temporary and uncomfortable Food &

Beverage outlet during the clubhouse

renovation (planned for approximately

September 2014 through September

2015), we will be able to make this

wonderful new space available during

that time. It is our goal to minimize the

inconvenience while we upgrade and

provide amazing new services.

In approximately July/August 2014, we

will vacate the existing clubhouse and

provide temporary golfer locker rooms,

golf reception and pro shop (currently

under full renovation in another part of

the clubhouse). At the same time, we

hope to have this restaurant completed

to complement the move out. With this

plan in mind, once the main clubhouse

is vacated, we will have a warm welcome

and arrival planned, starting with a

ground level arrival which will escort

you to the temporary golfer facilities for

changing and reception, onwards through

a landscaped courtyard to buggy pick up

and departure, and finally to the new

restaurant as described above. While there

will undoubtedly be some disruptions over

the months, we have endeavoured to make

the progress as smooth and comfortable

as possible, while adding in new elements

wherever possible.

We look forward to provide you with

regular updates on the progress of the

construction at Laguna National, as well

as, the amenities that you will enjoy as

Members of the Club. Thank you for your

ongoing support as we renovate and

upgrade the facilities.

The setting out of the levels is complete now and pilings

underway. The restaurant will have two distinct levels,

allowing sweeping views of the course from all seats

indoors and out. A wonderful verandah will extend out

towards the water and the 18th green.

Construction is underway on the soon to be named 19th hole

restaurant, bar and events venue which will feature spectactular

views over both the 9th and 18th greens of the Masters Course.

GoLF CoURSE UPDAtES

As we continue to move forward with our golf course upgrades and improvements, Laguna would like to thank

the Golf Course task Force for their contribution and feedback provided to date.

Contributed by Bradley Leahey

For those of you who may not be

aware, Laguna National management

has populated a Golf Course Task Force

of Members to provide their feedback

and input on the proposed upgrades to

the Masters Course. We have included

league players, low and high handicap

players, senior players, male and female

representatives, as well as professional

golfers to obtain a broad base of input.

Their significant contributions have

allowed the Club to press forward

towards improving and upgrading our two

championship golf courses.

Upgrading to Hole 18 at the Masters

Course is underway. The process began

with spraying herbicide onto the grass

to eliminate the turf species from the

site before seedbed preparation. Old,

contaminated turf containing a mix of

turf species will be removed and replaced

on the fairways. This will result in a much

firmer and consistent playing surface for

golfers.

The reshaping of the re-grassed fairway

has just been completed. Turfing by means

of sprigging these areas with Platinum

Paspalum, the same species as you are

now playing on at Holes 3, 8 and 17 on

the Masters Course. It will now take the

next 3 months for the turf to grow and

become playable once again.

A similar upgrading approach will

be applied to Hole 9 which includes

reshaping and re-grassing the first half

of the fairway landing area. At the same

time, the second half of the fairway to the

green will be converted to a Par 3 while

these upgrading works are being carried

out. The Par 3 distances for Hole 9 will

be at 135 yards from the Black Tees, 125

yards from the Blue Tees, 110 yards from

the White Tees and 95 yards from the Red

Tees.

With the feedback from our Golf Course

Task Force and Golfing Members, the

Management has also taken the initiative

to start the golf course upgrading process

on the World Classic Course. While we

intend to make the course more playable

on a daily basis for our Members and their

guests, the team will also endeavor to

preserve the design integrity and challenge

of the course for the professional player.

Club | 17

Page 20: April - June 2014 - lagunanational.com · 48 Tuan Bai 52 Scott Barr Clinic PEOPLE 54 Ladies Day Out With Allen Kelly 55 March Medal and Mercedes Trophy Medal 57 SGA Interclub League

You will be pleased to know that we have

just completed Holes 12 and 14 where

we have enhanced the landing areas on

both of the holes. Prior to the fairway

enlargement enhancement, if you were

playing off the Blue Tees, you would need

to carry the ball more than 225 yards in

order to carry the canal water crossing and

also the hedge / landscape area together

with the waste bunker to reach the

fairway landing area. In an effort to make

the tee shot at Hole 12 more reasonable,

the waste bunker that used to protect

the entire fairway has now been reduced

in size. In its place you will now find an

enlarged and reshaped fairway, creating

additional landing zone and rough area.

The carry to the rough area is now only

165 yards and 190 yards to the fairway.

We have also removed the hedge that was

previously blocking the view of the ball

landing and protecting the hole. With the

upgrading works, it now opens up with

a beautiful scenic view that shows the

landing areas of both fairways and waste

bunkers. The goal was achieved to keep

the challenge of hole, but allow a majority

of our Members the opportunity to clear

the water and reach the fairway off their

tee shot.

As for Hole 14, we have filled in the waste

bunker that was protecting the fairway to

a level we deemed excessive. Previously

the average golfer was required to carry

the ball over the canal and waste bunker

of greater than 240 yards from the Blue

Tees.

With the new rough location being

brought forward together with the new

extended fairway located just in front of

the forward tee, the carry from the Blue

Tees is now only 205 yards to the fairway

and 225 yards to an extended, wider

fairway. These new playing areas will

soon be playable, grown in and mowed

at fairway height within the next two

months. We trust you will find them more

playable and enjoyable than before while

still maintaining the course’s defense

against low scores and the professional

player. Our aim is challenge and enjoyment

over penalizing and unfair golf.

I would like to take this opportunity

to introduce you the Members of the

Golf Course Task Force who have been

volunteering tirelessly and contributing

their time for this intensive golf course

upgrading exercise:

Mrs. Goh Kui Hwa

Mr. Joe Lai

Mr. Kim Shung Cheul

Mr. Matthew Boylan

Ms. Michelle Bang Min Kyung

Mr. Mike Kerr

Mr. Ming Wong

Mr. Peter Lim

Mr. Scott Barr

Mrs. Stephanie Hodges

We will continue to keep you updated

on the ongoing golf course construction

development through regular updates on

the Club notice boards and email blasts.

Please feel free to share your feedback

with the Members of the Golf Course

Task Force or myself. In the meantime,

happy golfing and we look forward to

sharing future golf course upgrades and

improvements with you soon.

BACK to BASICS: GEt FIt WItHoUt tHE GYM

Working out does not have to be a chore and gym is not the only answer to getting fit. What matters most is the commitment and motivation. Learn how you can burn

calories and gain lean body mass without setting foot in the gym.

Contributed by Paul Ervin Cosino

Exercise is a must for everybody, regardless

of whether one is trying to lose weight or

not. In the gym, we tend to think in terms

of specific muscle groups. However, for

an integrated workout out of the gym,

we should not worry about which muscle

groups to focus on. Instead, commit to

the workout as a whole and rev up your

usual workout by dedicating 30 minutes

every day on this high intensity, full body

workout - TRX Push Up Combo, Kettle Bell

Swing and Spiderman Push Up - at home

or wherever. You will be surprised at what

you can achieve.

A 30 minutes high intensity workout is

equivalent to an hour of low intensity

cardio. Benefits include:

• Lose fat, sculpt muscles and

improve muscular endurance

• Achieve a lean body mass

• Increase mental focus and

performance

• Strengthen immune system

• Reduce healing process

• Increase metabolic rate (burn as

much calories in 24 to 48 hours!)

Place one foot in the heel cuff and position your back approximately 3 feet away from the overhead anchor point.

Straddle kettle bell with feet placed slightly wider than your shoulder width.

Start in the standard push up position - keep your body straight and your arms are perpendicular to the body.

Descend into a burpee and perform a pushup.

Lift kettle bell up from the floor, just above the ankle and slightly forward.

Dip down slightly and immediately, swinging kettle bell upwards by raising your upper body upright and extending your legs.

As you lower your torso towards the floor and bend your elbow, lift one foot off the ground, bend your knee to the side, level it with your hip.

Leap forward quickly and spring up, reaching the overhead with your arms.

Repeat anywhere between 5 and 15 reps/side, depending on your fitness level and goals.

Swing kettle bell back down between your legs. Allow the kettle bell to swing forward but do not extend your hips and knees. Slow the kettle bell’s swing and place it on the floor between your feet in an original dead lift position.

Touch your elbow with your knee.

Repeat this action with alternating side.

toP-10 LAGUnA nAtIonAL MoMEntS:tRoPHY CAUSES A

CLASSIC StIR!Welcome to a new series of articles that will run

exclusively in Laguna Lifestyle, with golf writer and broadcaster Spencer Robinson looking back at the

‘top 10 Moments at Laguna national Golf and Country Club’ since the Club’s inception.

To tee-off the series, Robinson turns the

clock back to last June when Laguna’s

World Classic Course played host to the

inaugural Causeway Trophy match play

contest between the leading professional

golfers from Singapore and Malaysia.

In golf, there’s nothing quite like the

cut and thrust of a team match play

tournament to stir the senses and turn up

the temperature.

Just consider the Ryder Cup which,

for almost 90 years, has been wowing

audiences. Indeed, alongside the four

annual men’s Major championships, this

biennial event is widely regarded as being

the greatest showcase for the Royal and

Ancient sport.

In the past three decades in particular

– since the United States’ traditional

opponents from Great Britain and Ireland

were bolstered by the inclusion of

Europeans – the contest has truly captured

the imagination of the sporting world with

the bewitching skills of the combatants,

dramatic turnarounds and intense and

unpredictable climaxes.

It’s testament to the fact that imitation is

the greatest form of flattery that the Ryder

Cup has spawned a whole number of team

match play events from The Presidents

Cup (United States v Internationals) to

the Seve Trophy (Continental Europe v

Great Britain & Ireland); the Royal Trophy

(Asia v Europe) to the Straits Cup (China v

Chinese Taipei) and the Dongfeng Nissan

Cup (China v Asia-Pacific) and, most

recently, the EurAsia Cup, another Asia

versus Europe confrontation.

And that impressive list was added to

last year when long-time sporting rivals

Singapore and Malaysia crossed swords

in the inaugural edition of the Causeway

Trophy at Laguna National Golf & Country

Unashamedly following a similar format

to the Ryder Cup, the event proved an

instant hit with players, fans, officials and

sponsors.

As well as being a fulfilling, albeit

emotionally draining, experience for the

participants, the Causeway Trophy revived

memories of the historic sporting links

and rivalry between the neighbouring

countries, most notably football clashes

that date back to 1921 when the Malaya

Cup was launched following the donation

of a trophy by the officers and men of a

British battleship, the HMS Malaya.

A new trophy was inaugurated in 1967

and since then the competition has been

known as the Malaysia Cup. A rugby

union tournament of the same name, was

started in parallel with the football Cup,

and still bears the same name.

Sanctioned by the Singapore Professional

Golfers’ Association and the Professional

Golf Association Malaysia and title-

sponsored by Prudential, a more

appropriate venue for the first golfing

showdown between Singapore and

Malaysia is hard to imagine.

And the wildly undulating landscape of the

World Classic Course did not disappoint,

underlining its reputation as one of the

most fearsome golfing challenges in Asia

and, at the same time, beguiling television

viewers with the spectacular nature of the

Andy Dye-designed masterpiece.

The record books will forever remind us

that the hosts were simply too good for

their visitors, non-playing captain Lip

Ooi’s Singapore team, consisting of eight

touring pros and four teaching pros,

cantering to a surprisingly one-sided 15½-

8½ triumph.

Inspired by the historic nature of the

occasion and a surge of national pride,

Ooi’s Singaporeans produced some

outstanding golf which the Malaysians,

possibly guilty of complacency and

certainly suffering from a comparative lack

of knowledge of the course, were unable

to counter.

Easing into a 4-2 lead in the opening-

day foursomes, Singapore extended its

advantage on day two, claiming 3½ points

from the six fourball clashes to head into

the final-day singles with a healthy 7½-

4½ buffer.

Maintaining a steely attitude and a deep

desire, Singapore then claimed eight of

the 12 points on offer in the singles to

coast home.

The distinction of clinching the point that

mathematically assured the home team of

victory went to Lam Chih Bing, who held

off Anis Helmi 2 & 1. “It’s an honour to

clinch the winning point. I couldn’t have

asked for a better way of doing it,” said

Lam, whose long-time international team-

mate Mardan Mamat also delivered an

assured performance as he wrote another

emotional chapter in his Laguna National

love affair.

“I really enjoy coming back to Laguna

National as I’ve lots of fond memories

here,” said the 45-year-old who became

the first Singaporean (and to date the only

one) to win a European Tour title with

his tear-filled success in the Singapore

Masters in 2006, over Laguna’s adjacent

Masters Course.

“This Causeway Trophy win just adds to

my wonderful memories at Laguna. It was

a good victory for Singapore and I’m glad I

did my part in making the country proud.”

Captain Ooi paid a glowing tribute to

his players. He said: “This win is a proud

moment for all of us in Singapore. I

couldn’t believe how well the team played.

We fought really hard and I thank my team

for making it a week to remember. The

Malaysian team put up a strong challenge

but we showed that we can be up for it.

“This event has created bonding – not

just across the Causeway but among the

players as well.”

Despite their obvious disappointment

at having to settle for second best, the

Malaysian contingent was energised by

the tournament and the positive knock-on

effects to the game.

PGA of Malaysia President Mohd Firuz

Jaffril said: “We are grateful to Laguna

for hosting the event and we look forward

to a new impetus in the development of

professional golf in the region.”

Rather than reflect on the defeat, non-

playing Malaysian captain Chong Chee

Ming chose to accentuate the highlights.

“It was a great week. The players had a

great time and we really appreciate the

organisers for being such gracious hosts.

“The hospitality won us over from

the moment we arrived in Singapore.

Everything was well organised and we

were really happy to be treated so well

here.”

Similar sentiments were expressed by his

players.

Shaaban Hussin said: “I always enjoy

coming to Singapore as it feels like my

second home. But it was an exceptional

week as everything was very well run. The

organisers went out of their way to make

this event a special one.”

Danny Chia concurred. “I would like to

thank Prudential for having brought all of

us together again. A lot of us knew each

other during our amateur days and it had

been a long time since we got together

again to play in a team event like this.

“It was my first time playing the World

Classic Course and it’s definitely very scenic

and challenging. The course provided

all of us with a tough test and we look

forward to coming back,” said the long-

time Malaysian number one, who has

pencilled into his diary the dates of June

6-8, 2014 when the second staging of

the Causeway Trophy will take place with

Laguna National’s World Classic Course

again primed to be the battleground.

Patrick Bowers, Laguna National’s Chief

Executive Officer and Managing Director,

said: “We were very pleased to have held

last year’s inaugural Prudential Causeway

Trophy. All elements of the tournament

surpassed expectations and we’re eagerly

anticipating the next instalment of what

we’re convinced will very quickly become

a highlight on the sporting calendar in

both Singapore and Malaysia.

“As an event, the Causeway Trophy may

still be in its formative stages, but the

passion that has been shown by players,

official and fans from both sides of the

Causeway is unmistakeable.

“Based on what we saw last year there can

be no doubt that the Causeway Trophy has

a wonderfully exciting future ahead of it.

All of us at Laguna National are honoured

to be a part of that.”

battle it out for top honours in the second edition of the game this year.

The Prudential Causeway Trophy at Laguna

National 2014 held at the World Classic

Course will be based on a format similar

to the Ryder Cup where the teams will go

head-to-head in the Foursomes format

on day one, Fourball format on day two

before culminating in a Singles showdown

on the final day.

Following Singapore’s triumph last year,

the Malaysian team is looking for a

comeback. However, both Malaysia and

Singapore will have two chances this year

with the addition of a new element to the

tournament.

Where We Left Off – Recapping 2013The Prudential Causeway Trophy held last

year saw Singapore enjoying a convincing

victory over perennial rival Malaysia with

a 15½ - 8½ win to lift the Prudential

Causeway Trophy.

The three-day event has been billed as

the clash of the titans between the best

golfers from both sides of the causeway

and was sanctioned by the Singapore

Professional Golfers’ Association (SPGA)

and Professional Golf Association

Malaysia.

Singapore’s non-playing captain Lip Ooi

paid tribute to his players and hailed them

as the best team for making Singapore

proud.

“This win is a proud moment for all of

us in Singapore. We fought really hard

out there and I want to thank my team

for making this a day to remember. The

Malaysian team put up a strong challenge

but we showed that we can be up for it,”

said Ooi.

Despite their loss, Malaysia’s non-playing

captain Chong Chee Ming led the chorus

of praise for sponsors and tournament

officials who conferred great hospitality

to the Malaysian team during their stay in

Singapore.

Danny Chia, who holds the distinction

of being the first Malaysian winner on

the Asian Tour when he won the Taiwan

Open back in 2002, thanked sponsors

for creating this unique opportunity for

golfers from both countries, some from

his amateur days, to meet again in a

competition on the greens.

“Being the title sponsor of the

Prudential Causeway Trophy is our way

of demonstrating our commitment to

support local sportsmen, and to encourage

the growth of a sports culture among

Singaporeans,” said Tomas Urbanec, CEO

of Prudential Singapore.

CEO and Managing Director of Laguna

National Golf and Country Club, Patrick

Bowers said, “Laguna National is pleased

to be hosting the second edition of the

Prudential Causeway Trophy tournament

and wishes both teams the best of luck”.

SPGA President, Murugiah remarked, “I’m

happy that we have this annual event,

which Kevin Kwee, Patrick, Bradley and I

founded together. My boys are excited for

the match. Furthermore, Singapore versus

Malaysia has always been a big deal”.

The rivalry between both teams will be

up this year as Team Malaysia steps up on

their strategy and Team Singapore fights

to hold on to the trophy.

Entry to the Prudential Causeway Trophy

at Laguna National 2014 held from 4th

to 8th June 2014 is complimentary. The

best golfers from Singapore and Malaysia

including Lam Chih Bing, Mardan Mamat,

Quincy Quek, Sukree Othman, Airil

Rizman, and Danny Chia amongst others

will be challenging one another as well as

‘Asia’s Toughest Test’ in this annual event.

Stay tuned!

A mainstay in the Club’s calendar, this year’s Tuan Bai golf tournament hosted

95 Members and guests on the exhilarating Masters Course. In celebration of

novelty games such as ‘Poker Play’ at hole 3, ‘Wheel of Clubs’ at hole 6, ‘Ball

to frolic in along the way. During break time, golfers were treated to the very

exclusive, artisan applewood barbeque bak kwa by Empire, as well as, our very

own chef’s special popiah at the halfway house, topped with thirst-quenching,

homemade lemongrass cooler.

To spread the festive joy further, traditional lion dance performance was lined

up to wrap up the annual golf day before ushering the golfers to a ‘Loi Hei’

session and scrumptious buffet spread. All participants were presented with a

bag of mandarin oranges and a TOTO ticket each to symbolize abundance and

good fortune for the new year ahead. Oakley sunglasses and festive hampers

worth S$500 each were also given out that night to winners of the men’s and

ladies’ divisions and lucky winners of the raffle draw.

League players have been selected in January to represent the Club at the

upcoming SGA Inter-Club League. A round robin match play format with a total

of 12 legs will be played when the tournament kicks off on 6 April at 6 various

golf clubs across the island.

In preparation for the intense competition ahead, the Club has approached

its Touring Pro, Scott Barr, to conduct a 2-hour golf clinic for the Laguna SGA

contingent. Braving the heat and dry condition, the league players were given

an objective appraisal of their skills, along with a demonstration by Scott on

how to play tough bunker shots, besides adept pitching, chipping and putting,

that are crucial for a dominant victory. Plans to engage the Club’s 2 other

Touring Pros, Zaw Moe and Lam Chih Bing, for future golf clinics to assist our

SGA League teams are currently underway.

SGA IntERCLUB LEAGUE PLAYERS BonDInG GAME

Selected team players representing Laguna National at the 2014 SGA Interclub

League enjoyed a friendly golf match at the anticipated annual SGA Interclub

League Players Bonding Game which took place at the Tering Bay Golf and

Country Club in Batam, Indonesia.

Upon arrival at Tering Bay Golf and Country Club, they were treated to an 18-

hole game sponsored by Laguna National, followed by a lunch buffet. After

satisfying their stomachs, some adjourned for a relaxing massage, while others

continued with another round of golf. The fruitful trip concluded with newly

forged friendship and camaraderie. We wish the team members success in the

League!
