Worshiping Jesus, Our Priceless Treasure!Prelude
*God Calls Us to Worship Isaiah 33:5-6 Reverend Bill Myers
Pastor: The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; People: He will fill Zion with justice and righteousness,Pastor: And he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; All: The fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

*We Invoke His Presence
God Exposes Our Need Deuteronomy 7:25 Dr. Robert Stuart
The carved images of their gods you shall burn with fire. You shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them or take it for yourselves, lest you be ensnared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.
We Confess Our Sin
Christ Provides for Our Need Deuteronomy 8:3b Man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
*We Live by Our True Word and Treasure! No. 642 Be Thou My Vision Greg Wagener, drums; David Seitzinger, guitar; Patrick Harrington, bass; Carrie Smith, piano
God Reveals His Work Acts 14:26-27Brady and Jenna, Sensitive Country
From there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work that they had fulfilled. And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

*We Give Him All the Glory No. 735 Gloria PatriGlory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,world without end. Amen, amen.
We Invoke His Help 2 Chronicles 14:11bJeff Scheibe, Elder
Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on you.
God Calls Us to Stewardship Malachi 3:10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
We Give Our Tithes and Offerings
We Cherish and Honor Him! Fairest Lord Jesus Handbells
Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature, Son of God and Son of Man!Thee will I cherish, thee will I honor, thou, my soul’s glory, joy, and crown.
Fair are the meadows, fair are the woodlands, robed in the blooming garb of spring:Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer, who makes the woeful heart to sing.
Fair is the sunshine, fair is the moonlight, and all the twinkling, starry host: Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer than all the angels heav’n can boast.
Beautiful Savior! Lord of the nations! Son of God and Son of Man!Glory and honor, praise, adoration, now and forevermore be thine.

*God Reveals Himself as Our Treasure Matthew 6:19-24; 1 Timothy 4:7b-10aPastor: Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. People: For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Pastor: The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!People: No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money!Pastor: Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. People: The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God.
*At Thy Feet Our Treasure Store! No. 585 Take My Life, and Let It Be
God Invites Us to His Table 1 Corinthians 11:23-29I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.

Sermon Notes
No U-Hauls Behind Hearses Dr. Robert Stuart, Pastor of Shepherding and Leadership1 Timothy 6: 6-12, 17-19 | page 993 in pew Bible
John Piper once said, “Money is the currency of Christian Hedonism in the sense that what you do with it-or desire to do with it-can make or break your ______________________ forever.”
Since we can’t take it with us, we need to learn to be content now, for contentment leads to godliness. In what way?
1. Through understanding one’s ___________________________.
2. Through shunning the ___________________________ to be rich.
3. Through fighting the ________________________ of faith.

Dear Twin Oaks Family,
Today is the last day for you to make a Faith Promise Pledge! Our congregation supports our international missionaries through Faith Promise, and our Missions Committee is meeting tomorrow night to begin preparing the world missions budget for our new fiscal year, which began on April 1. While you can certainly give to world missions at any time, the Missions Committee must finalize the missions’ budget based on the pledge totals they have in hand as of tomorrow’s meeting. So if you haven’t made a pledge yet, prayerfully consider making one! Remember, a faith promise is not a pledge to give what you currently have; it is a promise to trust God for future blessings, which you then give as God provides.
Blessings,
Russ
