Every 10 years the Kendall County is required by law to redistrict their current county board representation after a census has been done. According to the census information of 2010 Kendall County doubled its population from 54,544 to 114,736 one of the fastest growth in the nation and the fastest here in Illinois. With the expansion of population there is a movement underway to create as many as five districts in order to better serve the Residents. County Board chairman John Purcell has appointed an ad-hoc committee to serve in the redistricting process. Democrat Elizbeth Flowers was appointed chair of this committee who will serve with fellow County Board Members John Shaw, Anne Vickery, Suzanne Petrella, and Jeff Wehrile . The committee is now accepting proposals from the public which can participate please call the county for more information at 630-553-4171 submitted to kcadmin@co.kendall.il.us the next hearing for the Redistricting will be April 29th in the mapping room located at 111 West Fox at 3:00pm. Congressman Stops by Kendall County for a

Town Hall Meeting by Sheryl Krase

Congressman Huntgren stopped by Kendall County and

appeared at a town hall meeting with area residents and leaders to

discuss what is taking place in the Nation’s Capital. On the table of

discussion was his position on Oswego obtaining a Metra Station,

House bill 1515 which he currently is sponsoring, and the current

fiscal house the nation is currently facing. Twenty five area residents

Chicago Cubs Beat by Jack Flowers
