Anela has earned a living as a full-time musician since the age of 17 playing guitars of all kinds, Ukulele and Lap Steel guitar. Among his teachers he spent time studying with the great Jerry Byrd.
His first success came with the group called Island band. They were very successful from their initial recording in 1976 and toured throughout Canada and opened for performers such as Elvin Bishop and Fleetwood Mac. In 1978 their song El Dorado reached number five on the top 40.
In 2003 Anela also joined Tino and the Rhythm Klub.The band got invited to perform at the Venetian and the Alladin Hotel in Las Vegas and played for Wayne Newton's daughter's wedding!
In 2004, Anela got married to his wife Cheri and moved to the Valley. We sure are lucky to have this awesome guy making great music around!
