Show Ready For Alaskan TourThe big news in the Pacific Northwest is that the Wallace

• Rogers Circus is heading for a tour of British Columbia andAlaska. They111 be back in the State of Washington sometime inSeptember for previously planned fall dates.

The circus opened its sea-son at St. Helens, Ore. on Alar*31st, where because of heavyrains the lot was in poor shape.That evening every piece of shonequipment had to be pulled offthe lot.

After a day off they play•d Winslow on April 2nd to someexceptional business (three per-formances Here required). Thisnee followed by an April 3-5dete et Renton, with the showeet up et the shopping center.Business was off here becauee ofthe cold end continual rain. AtMercer lelend (the site of the1973 CFA Convention) on Apr* 6-7the sho* drew big crowds.

Escapes InjuryWhile performing before

several thousand spectators etCircus America, in Washington,DC (Apr. 6) Dolly Nock slippedand fell 30 feet to the floor ofCepitol Centre. The eccident oc-curred as the 16 year old girlwas presenting her heel catchon the ewinglng trapeze.

Dolly, the daughter ofthe Charley Nocks, who are bill-ed as the "Peerless Nocks", wasrushed to a local hospital,where it wee eaid her only in-Jury amounted to a bump on thehead. She stayed at the hospi-tal for obee»wation end then wasreleased*

the Spring seasonMost of the show trucks

arrived close together the morn-ing of April 6th, when Carson *Barnes pleyed on e parking lotat Lamer University (Texas). Thaonly truck arriving late was thispool wagon, which had to betowed in because of a brokendrive shaft. In fact the wreckertowed the unit about the lot sothe canvas could be unloaded*

It was sunny and clear*but windy, most of the day andthey really had to tie the tentdown. By nightfall it cloudedover end there was a hint ofrain, but it never came.

All the equipment looksgood, but e few touches of paintwould put everything into that"brend new" condition. The bigtop is the one they used lastseason and needs a few patches.

Show officials gueeeedthet attendance would be smallhere so only set up pert of theseats. The folks came and gavethem a good half house or betterfor esch performance. They wereall pleased with the show.
