April 2020
A Second Chance God always wants the best for us,
But in Eden we sinned;
we really blew it. We disobeyed God’s direct decree;
We separated from Him,
and we knew it. You’d think we’d learn to
behave ourselves, But through all time,
we just kept doing it; Piling wrong on top of wrong,
Our punishment—we kept accruing it. Jesus came and changed all that; He paid the price for all our sins;
When we repent and believe in Him,
We change, and a better life begins. Easter stands for a second chance
For us to choose to put things right; If we repent, and really believe,
Our record is polished clean
and bright. When Jesus rose from
the dead back then, He guaranteed our eternal life,
Reunited with God in heaven,
Free from tears and fears and strife. Easter ensures paradise
For all of us, for you and me; We’re reconciled to our
Lord and King
For now and all eternity.
By Joanna Fuchs
Like Living Stones As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by
God and precious to Him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices
acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:-4-5
I really love our church building. It is a very different looking church. I remember driving up to take a look at this structure before I was called to be a pastor to serve here and I felt a real calling. I did not know the people but in my spirit I recall thing something like, “It’s got good bones.” Good bones is a term Leslie uses when we look for a house to move into. We can only afford houses that need bit of work, so as we walk through a house, if Leslie says, “This house has good bones,” I know that it is a contender. In a sense, the same thing goes for West Green Tree Church. However, I am not talking about the physical sense of the building - the cold stones that are mortared together. I am talking about the spiritual sense of the church building - the real stones that hold each of us together. We have heard the saying that “the church is not a building, the church is the people.” However old and archaic that may sound, it is so true. It was true to the Apostle Peter in his first letter. We are LIVING STONES, joined together by the saving grace of THE LIVING STONE, Jesus Christ. So you can throw the church building away and we would still be West Green Tree Church of the Brethren. Corona Virus Covid 19 Due to the Corona Virus, we can not meet in our physical building right now, but that does not mean we can not take care of one another and still be the church. Our government has asked us to meet in very small groups for a time so that our country can get through this crisis. We can to that and still be the church. So, here are some things that living stones can do: Pray for one another. Keep on praying for those in our church who need
comfort and support. Remember - God is still on the throne and prayer changes things!
Help our most vulnerable. Check our directory and give one of our senior citizens a call to see if they need any supplies. And then, go make a delivery. Or even just call them to see how they are doing.
Be smart. If you are sick, for the sake of your church family, stay home from activities.

Information about the canceling and/or rescheduling of activities will be shared with you as soon as we have that information. Thank you for understanding.

READ YOUR BIBLE. There is hardly anything more assuring and
uplifting than reading about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Meet in small groups. Join together with a few of our members
and create or continue a small Bible Study or small worship and praise group. West Green Tree will be Live Streaming the Sunday services and will begin to look at new ways to keep us connected. Abide by our Government guidelines and meet if you can.
Don’t panic. The world is a fallen world with circumstances beyond our control. But God is not surprised by anything and will always be here with us, even to the end of this age. Trust in Him. Remember, we are citizens of heaven! Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33b)
Be a witness. People will be scared and looking for assurance. Well, we have the blessed assurance of Jesus Christ and that is something we can share. Let’s be ambassadors to our neighbors and show God’s love to them in practical ways.
So let’s be those “Living Stones” and take care of each other, building each other up in the faith in Jesus Christ so we will not grow weary.
“ But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have
received mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

Love Feast All are invited to come to the tables to celebrate the Love Feast and Com-munion Service on Maundy Thursday, April 9th, beginning at 7 pm. You will be blessed in this service of humility and thanksgiving as we remember the love our Lord had for us in that He was willing to be our sacrificial Lamb.

“I know who holds the future , and I know who holds my hand, With God things don’t just happen, everything by Him is planned. So as I face tomorrow , with its problems large and small, I’ll trust the God of miracles, give to Him my ALL.”
(This is a song I learned at my mother’s knees and have thought of it often and sang it often. Especially in this current situation in our world, it is
very reassuring that HE is in control. )
We at Tiny Timbers TTh just completed our “Happy Kites” but unfortunately did not get out to fly them. We were looking forward to flying them and some big kites Miss Natalie brought in. It will have to wait but we will get to it! Let’s go fly a kite…….
Been a busy two weeks with Parent Teacher Conferences and Open House/Registration. All went well to the glory of God and we are gearing up for the last of the year events. Lord willing we will have an Easter Celebra-tion, in April and our final field trip to Juni-per Village (tentative) in May and of course
the Tiny Timbers end of the year Celebration.
During this unexpected time off- we will be in prayer for each child and their family that we will be reunited in a healthy world in a new season.
How do we know its Spring, how do we know its Spring There are budding trees with shiny new leaves and that how we know it SPRING !
Prayerfully submitted by Miss Natalie TTh Teacher
