April, 2016 Sports Activities Ms. Shaziya Khan Auditor from Pr. A.G (Audit)-I, Mumbai secured First Position in Women Team Event of All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament. held at Thiruvananthapuram. Shri. Zubin Taraporewala Auditor from Pr. A.G (Audit)-I, Mumbai secured second position in All India Civil Services Table Tennis Tournament held at Bhopal. Shri.Jaswinder Singh Auditor from Pr. A.G (Audit)-I, Mumbai secured second position in IA & AD Inter Zonal Badminton Tournament held at Shimla. Shri. Bilal Shaikh Auditor from Pr. A.G (Audit)-I, Mumbai participated in the IA&AD West and Inter Zonal Football Tournament and was declared Man of the Match. Shri. Pradeep Kharat emerged as a champion in the veteran singles event of IA&AD inter zonal Carrom tournament held at Guwahati. All sportspersons were felicitated by Pr.A.G (Audit)-I. This was followed by a variety of entertainment programmes such as Group, Classical, folk, Cinematic dances, skits/jokes, Drama, Music/Songs etc. by the Literary and Recreation Club of both offices. The performance by the staff and officer rose almost to professional level and kept the well attended audience spell bound.

    at Parsee Gymkhana (marine Lines) gave prestigious 1st Division to Parsee Gymkhana Club.

    Shri Md. Shakir Raza, Auditor of this office secured second prize in Hindi Extempore and Self

    written Poetry organized by Nagar RajbhashaKaryanvayanSamiti of Central Government offices,

    Mumbai.

    A lecture cum interactive session on awareness leading to early detection and treatment of

    depression of Dr. ShubhangiParkarProfesor (MD.PhD) Head of Psychiatry Department, KEM

    Hospital, Mumbai was arranged in the conference Hall of this office on 9th June, 2016 at

    2.30 p.m. onwards for the benefit of Officers and staff working in the O/o PAG (Audit) I and

    O/o PAG (Audit) III.

  • The 2nd International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June in the Office Conference hall

    between 3.00p.m. to 4.30 p.m.. The interactive yoga session was carried out by Professional

    Yoga instructors from the Yoga Institute for spreading awareness about the benefits of Yoga.

    The session was inaugurated by Pr. Accountant General (Audit) I. All the Group Officers and

    staff members attended and actively participated in the interactive session. The interactive

    session was thoroughly enjoyed by all the Officers and staff of this office.

    Independence Day Celebration:

    The Welfare Officer was the chief guest during the Independence Day celebration on 15th August

    at the Bhandup staff quarters and Dy. Accountant General, Economic Sector at Charkop Staff

    quarters.. Flag hoisting was done by the Welfare Officer and Dy. Accountant General/Economic

    Sector at Bhandup and Charkop staff quarters respectively.

    Observance of Sadbhavana Divas

    Birth anniversary of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi was observed as Sadbhavana day and the

    Sadbhavana Pledge was taken by all the Officers and staff at 11.00 a.m. on 19th August 2016

    in the Conference Hall.

    Hindi fortnight. ( )

    To encourage the use of Hindi in official work amongst officers/employees the Hindi Diwas on

    14 September 2016 and fortnight thereafter was observed as Hindi Pakhavada. It commenced

    with reading of the message regarding importance of Hindi in Official work received from

    Honorable Home Minister.

    The occasion was graced by Dr. MadhuriDevra, Ex.HOD, of S.N.D.T. University as Chief

    Guest. During the Hindi Pakhavada various Hindi competitions such as elocutions, essay

    writing, translations, Hindi typing on computer, etc. were conducted in which Staff and Officers

    participated enthusiastically. On 23rd September 2016, a KaviSammelan was organized in

    which four prominent poets (ShriAnanatShrimali, Shri Chetan Charchit, Shri Prakash Papalu

    and Shri ManojMadrasi) recited their poems.Thisprogramme attracted a lot of crowd and

    appreciation. Hindi fortnight culminated on 27th September 2016 with a felicitation function

    which was presided over by Pr. Accountant General(Audit) I and prizes were also distributed to

    various Officers and staff who were the winners in the competitions conducted during the

    fortnight.

    A pledge for RashtriyaEkta Divas was administered on 31/10/2016 to mark the

    birth date of Late Shri. SardarVallabhai Patel (The Iron Man)

    November, 2016

    The week during 31/10/2016 to 05/11/2016 was observed as Vigilance

    Awareness Week. A pledge was administered on 2nd November, 2016 at

    11.00a.m. regarding vigilance awareness. Various banners/posters were exhibited

    in the office in various places for vigilance awareness. An Essay writing

    competition was organized for the staff of this office and most of the staff

    members had actively participated in the competition. Along with this a debate

    competition was also organized in which students from different colleges were

    invited who also took part in the competition with the staff members of this office.

    The week concluded with the distribution of prizes for various competitions.

    Shri ZubinTaraporewalla, Ar. of this office was the Winner in the All India East-

    zone Table-tennis tournament held at Aizwal (Mizoram) from 13/11/2016 to

    18/11/2016.

    Mumbai secured the Runner-up position in the IA & AD West zoneTable tennis

    Tournament held at Nagpur from 23/11/2016 to 25/11/2016.

    MsShaziya Khan, Ar. of this office was the runner-up and Team A.G. Mumbai

    won the mixed double team championship in the IA& AD West

    zoneBadmintonTournament held atNagpur from 28/11/2016 to 30/11/2016.

    Team A.G. Mumbai secured the Runner-up position in the IA & AD Inter-

    zonalTabletennis TournamentheldatChandigarh, from 18/12/2016 to 21/12/2016.

    zonalBadmintonTournament held atChandigarhfrom 24/12/2016 to 26/12/2016.

    This office had also assisted the team of international delegates from iCISA for

    their visit to Pune and Mumbai from 24.01.2017 to 28.01.2017

    Shri Swapnil Bandiwar, Ar from our office was part of the RSB Mumbai,cricket

    team which secured 3rdplace in the All India Civil Services tournament held at

    Raipur from 29/01/2017 to 05/02/2017

    MsShaziya Khan, Ar. of this office was the winner in the women doubles of the

    All India Civil Services Badminton tournament held at Aizwal from 13thFeb to 18th

    Feb, 2017.

    Shri ZubinTaraporewalla, Ar and Shri. SumeshMattu, Ar. of this office secured

    the Runner-up position in the team events of theAll India Civil Services

    Tournament held at Bhiwani from18/02/2017 to 20/02/2017. He also secured 3rd

    position in the Mix doubles event of theAll India Civil Services Tournament.

    Gender Awareness Week:

    The International Womens Day (8th March) was observed in this office for three

    days from 8th March to 10th March in the following manner:

    On 8th March 2016, Ms. Rupa Shah, Educationist and Ex-vice Chancellor of

    SNDT University gave a lecture on role of women in new age India

    On 9th March2016, Dr. Sujata Chavan, Professor from TISS delivered a talk on

    empowerment of women in work place.

  • On 10th March 2016, a yoga camp was conducted for the ladies of this office.

    24.03.2017

    A lecture was delivered by Shri NileshMandlecha, a Soft skill Trainer,

    Psychologist & Counselor, on Emotional Intelligence stress management and self

    management for the staff of this office.

  • March 2017

    IAAS trainees from National Academy of Audit, Shimla had visited Mumbai

    from 20.03.2017 to 27.03.2017 for training purpose and had the following trips

  • A high tea was also organized for the trainees in the conference hall of O/o the

    Pr.A.G. (Audit)-I,Mumbai by all the HODs and Group Officers of IA& AD

    offices.

  • APRIL 2017

    The Accountant General cricket team (Mumbai) were the winners of the Moorjani shield

    cricket tournament 2016-17 which was organized by the Regional Sports Board .

    An exhibition-cum-sale of khadi and village industries products was organized on

    11th and 12th of April, 2017 for the staff in our office. A variety of Khadi products

    were exhibited and were displayed for sale.

  • MAY, 2017

    A lecture-cum-interactive session with regard to nutrition and exercise required to maintain

    good health was delivered by Ms. Rujuta Diwekar, Nutritionist and exercise science expert in

    this office on 22nd May, 2017.

  • JUNE, 2017

    The 3rd International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June in the Office Training hall. An

    interactive yoga session was carried out by Professional Yoga instructors from the Yoga Centre

    I.C.Y.H.C KAIVALYADHAMA for spreading awareness about the benefits of Yoga. The

    session was inaugurated by Pr. Accountant General (Audit) I. All the Group Officers and staff

    members attended and actively participated in the interactive session. The interactive session was

    thoroughly enjoyed by all the Officers and staff of this office.

    Dr. Kuldeep Kohli, Director from the institute of AAYUSH, delivered a lecture

    on diabeties for the staff of this office.

    Observance of Sadbhavana Divas

    Birth anniversary of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi was observed as Sadbhavana day and the

    Sadbhavana Pledge was taken by all the Officers and staff at 11.00 a.m. on 18th August 2017

    in the Conference Hall.

    Hindi week various Hindi competitions such as elocutions, essay writing, workshop were conducted in which Staff

    and Officers participated enthusiastically. On 19th September 2017, a Kavi Sammelan was organized in which a very

    prominent poet Ms. Lata Haya and group had recited their poems. This programme attracted a lot of crowd and

    appreciation. Hindi Week culminated on 23rd September 2017 which was presided over by Pr. Accountant General

    (Audit) I and prizes were also distributed to various Officers and staff who were the winners in the competitions

    conducted during the week.

    The week during 30/10/2017 to 05/11/2017 was observed as Vigilance Awareness Week. A

    pledge was administered on 30th October 2017 at 11.00 a.m. regarding vigilance awareness.

    the staff members had actively participated in the competition.

    Observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)

    Birth anniversary of Late Shri SardarVallabhai Patel was observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Day

    (National Unity Day) and the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge was taken by all the Officers and

    staff at 11.00 a.m. on 31st October 2017 in the Conference Hall.

    Annual Day Function

    The Annual day function of the Literary and Recreation Club of the Offices of the

    Pr. Accountant General (Audit) I and Accountant General (Audit)-III was held on

    10th November, 2017 at Birla Matushri Sabhaghar, Mumbai.. The function commenced with

    prayer, welcome address and lighting of lamp by the Ms.Sangita Choure, Pr.AG (Audit)-I, Ms.

    Sayantani Jafa, Pr.A.G. (A&E)-I, Ms. Tanuja Mittal, PD (MAB-I) and Ms. Madhavi, AG

    (Audit) III. Vote of thanks was given by the Outdoor Secretary of the L & R Club.

    This was followed by a variety of entertainment programmes such as Group, Classical, folk,

    Cinematic dances, Music/Songs by the Literary and Recreation Club of both offices. The

    performance by the staff and officers rose almost to a professional level and kept the well

    attended audience spell bound.

  • Staging of IA & AD West Zone Football Tournament 2017-18

    Headquarters had selected O/o Pr. Accountant General (Audit)-I as the Convener of the IA&AD

    West Zone Football Tournament 2017-18. The tournament was staged at Cooperage Ground, Colaba,

    Mumbai from 2nd December to 3rd December 2017. The following teams had participated in the

    tournament.

    Shri Godfrey Pereira, Ex-Former Football Player and recipient of Chhatrapati Shivaji Awardee

    was the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony.

    All the matches were played fairly as per the decision of the referee and there were full co-operation and

    co-ordination between the team members, organizers and referees. The laid down rules were fully

    accepted and observed by all the teams. The decisions of the referees were strictly accepted by all the

    teams. Total four matches were played and O/o A.G.Madhya Pradesh won by 2-0 against

    O/o A.G. Maharashtra. Both the teams qualified for IA & AD Inter-Zonal Football Tournament 2017-18.
