The Greer location will be closed from April 2-7, with regular classes resuming on April 9. Both loca-tions will be closed on Saturday, April 7.

Tournament season begins with Master Shim’s, April 28The 2012 tournament season begins April 28 at Master Shim’s World

Class Tae Kwon Do Invitational in Fayetteville, Ga. Information packets and entry forms are available at each school, with entry forms due to Mrs. Kim by April 20. Fayetteville hotel information is included in the packet, but families may also be interested in the Duluth/Gwinnett area, approxi-mately one hour from the tournament venue. Exit 104/Pleasant Hill off I-85 has many hotels and wonderful Korean restaurants.

As the tournament season begins, black belt students are reminded they must compete in at least one tournament per year, in the event(s) of their choosing. This is an important component of Tae Kwon Do training and a requirement to advance to the next dan level. Please see the calendar sec-tion for a list of upcoming tournaments.

Martial Arts Festival a huge success. Both schools presented fantastic teams for the black belt forms competition, with the Greer school edging past Woodruff Road for the win. Congratulations to our forms grand champion winners: Sean Gilbert, Jane Dalton, and Claire Gyomory. We are so proud of everyone’s world class effort! Photos at left.

Summer camp registration is open. Don’t miss out!Spring break camp is almost over, but don’t miss out on Messy Art

week, Mad Science week, Super Sports week, or any of our other fun-filled summer camps. Each camp includes daily Tae Kwon Do instruction, field trips, and unlimited fun.

Please give a friendly welcome to our newest intern master, Master Hyo Jin Kim. Master H. Kim is a recent graduate of Korea National Sport University and an accomplished sparring competitor. He is a Korean National Champion in sparring and bronze medalist at the Col-legiate World Championships. Hwan-yong-ham-ni-da, Master H. Kim!
