Analysis of death and resurrection of Jesus Christ conveys to us the message that one must face conflicts and contradictions of our time, act on the basis of them for overcoming them, seeking always to create conditions of life in which love and justice can be bound together firmly. Certainly it imposes sacrifices and self-denial. But the important thing is that despite grief, suffering and death, hope never dies. The orientation is always toward the future and even when it seems that there is no hope, there are forces which emerge and announce and make a new cosmos possible- a better, a more humanistic and divine order than the last. The faith and the courage of the members of our communities in the face of miseries, misunderstandings and ignorance are sustained and strengthened by the support each individual gives the others, by the support each community gives the others, by our very struggle and activity, by our meditative reflection on the Word of God, by our recollection of the witness given by those who have struggled for higher divine values and by the demonstration of the power of triune God. I pray that our effort as a ‘living community’ may stimulate further hope and guidance toward a ‘dynamic faith’ which is realistic and progressive in a religious pluralistic context.

Let me thank God this opportunity to thank God for all abundant mercies which we experience as a Parish. Let’s seek Gods’ redemptive grace which augments and strengthens us ethically, existentially and thereby spiritually. Easter Jesus‟ resurrection confirms that he is God‟s commissioned agent (Son and Christ) and that he manifests God‟s reign over death. It also confirms his teaching about his yet future role in establishing God‟s empire. After the resurrection, his appearance itself must have made them realize that he was the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Let us learn the truth that we are not worshipping a dead Christ but a living Lord who lives forever and ever. We have to wage a war against all evil powers and our conquest over such evil powers spells out victory over death. May we receive the grace to put our trust and faith in Him through worshipping the risen Lord in truth and spirit.

Easter is observed on the first Sunday following the full moon that occurs on or following the spring equinox (March 21). So Easter became a "movable" feast which can occur as early as Mar. 22 or as late as Apr. 25.

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” (Lk. 19:38).

The Great Commission (St. Mt. 28:18-20) Through this great commission we his followers are given Jesus' authority to propagate the gospel of Christ which is of eternal dimension and beyond the barriers of time and space. We are instructed to teach all nations the commandments of Jesus till the end of the age. Jesus is assuring the disciples of his eternal presence with them. After the resurrection Jesus broke the bread different times and shared it with the disciples. In reality Jesus is entering into a New Covenant with the disciples so that it is shared with all of us. As Christians, and followers of the disciples of Jesus Christ, we are the people of the Covenant in this world. This Covenant is for the spread of His Kingdom. It is the most holistic commandment Jesus gave to his disciples so that all through the ages it can be followed.

“He is Lord! He is Lord! He is risen from the dead and He is Lord. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”.
