Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) at Duke University April 2012 Closing the Opportunity Gap: Institute on Teaching and Learning for a Bright Tomorrow On April 26 & 27, AAGC welcomed over 60 principals, teachers, curriculum directors and administrators to Duke University for a two-day conference to discuss AAGC's school education reform program, Bright Tomorrow. Keynote speakers included William "Sandy" Darity and Angel Harris. Read press release Protecting the kids who are already in trouble CCFP research scientist, Anne-Marie Iselin, is currently working on a project that will open up the public's eyes about children in the juvenile justice system. She explains that some children who were once perpetrators in the community might become victims while locked away. Iselin is working to discover why this abuse is happening and how to prevent future children from enduring the same fate.
