JMC issues guidelines for installation of telecom towers STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU 12: Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Mandeep Kaur today issued guidelines for installation of telecommunication towers within the jurisdiction of municipality with reference to the advisory guidelines issued to the state govern- ments by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India dated 1st August, 2013. "These guidelines will be effective from 10th April, 2016 and are also available on the official website of JMC (jmcjammu.org)," she said. She informed all the tele- com operators that before applying for permission from JMC first they should read the guidelines as these guide- lines are beneficial for them and shall be followed by all the telecom operators while applying for permission for installation of telecommunication towers. STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: President, Shri Ram Sena, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajiv Mahajan today urged State as well as Central Government to shift National Institute of Technology (NIT) from Srinagar to Jammu for the better and secure future of next generation of the nation. In a statement issued today, SRS State chief said that stu- dents couldn't continue their study in the prevailing tension in the NIT campus. "Non-local students were being harassed by the faculty," he said adding that a sense of insecurity has gripped the non- local students due to highhand- edness of Jammu and Kashmir Police. He also demanded action against police officials who had Lathicharged the students and action against college adminis- tration. He said Central Government should deploy faculty from other states to NIT Srinagar and shift the local faculty to outside the State so that non- local students do not face any harassment. If government fails to shift NIT campus to other place, Rajiv said it should evacuate non-local students including girls from the unsafe campus and shift them to other NIT so that their studies may not suf- fer due to violence. Hitting out anti-national ele- ments for threatening female students of rapes, Rajiv asked such element to desist from such comments as its impact is being faced by a large number of Kashmiri students who are studying in different universi- ties of the country. He also urged the State as well as Central Government to resolve the issue by acceding to demands, without whiling away anymore. Vijaya Rajendra has congratulat- ed the students of Police Public School Miran Sahib for their performance in annual examination of 8th Class. JMC issues guidelinesfor installation oftelecom towers

STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU 12: Commissioner,Jammu MunicipalCorporation (JMC),Mandeep Kaur today issuedguidelines for installation oftelecommunication towerswithin the jurisdiction ofmunicipality with referenceto the advisory guidelinesissued to the state govern-ments by the Department ofTe l e c o m m u n i c a t i o n s ,Government of India dated1st August, 2013.

"These guidelines will beeffective from 10th April,2016 and are also availableon the official website ofJMC (jmcjammu.org)," shesaid.

She informed all the tele-com operators that beforeapplying for permission fromJMC first they should readthe guidelines as these guide-lines are beneficial for them and shallbe followed by all the telecomoperators while applying forpermission for installation oftelecommunication towers.

STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: President, Shri RamSena, Jammu and Kashmir,Rajiv Mahajan today urgedState as well as CentralGovernment to shift NationalInstitute of Technology (NIT)from Srinagar to Jammu forthe better and secure future ofnext generation of the nation.

In a statement issued today,SRS State chief said that stu-dents couldn't continue theirstudy in the prevailing tensionin the NIT campus.

"Non-local students werebeing harassed by the faculty,"he said adding that a sense ofinsecurity has gripped the non-local students due to highhand-edness of Jammu and KashmirPolice.

He also demanded actionagainst police officials who hadLathicharged the students andaction against college adminis-tration.

He said Central Governmentshould deploy faculty fromother states to NIT Srinagarand shift the local faculty tooutside the State so that non-local students do not face anyharassment.

If government fails to shiftNIT campus to other place,Rajiv said it should evacuatenon-local students includinggirls from the unsafe campusand shift them to other NIT sothat their studies may not suf-fer due to violence.

Hitting out anti-national ele-ments for threatening femalestudents of rapes, Rajiv askedsuch element to desist from

such comments as its impact isbeing faced by a large numberof Kashmiri students who arestudying in different universi-ties of the country.

He also urged the State aswell as Central Government toresolve the issue by acceding todemands, without whiling awayanymore.
