The Board of Commissioners of Franklin County, North Carolina, met for a Special Called

Meeting at 8:00 A.M. in the Louisburg College Alumni Room on the Campus of Louisburg College

with the following Commissioners present: Chairman Sidney E. Dunston, Vice-Chairman Cedric

K. Jones, Commissioners E. Shane Mitchell, John M. May, Don Lancaster and Harry L. Foy, Jr.

Commissioner David T. Bunn was absent.

The purpose of the special called meeting was to conduct a board retreat facilitated by Charles

Hayes, President and CEO, Research Triangle Regional Partnership.

Chairman Dunston called the meeting to order.

Opening remarks were provided by Chairman Dunston, Louisburg College President Dr. Mark

LaBranche and County Manager Angela L. Harris.

Reports were provided to the Board by the following county departments and priorities were

identified.
