Jonah Year 3,

Jonah has been busy learning his colours in French, reading ‘Totoand the Ninja Cat’ and ‘Humphrey’s Tiny Tales,’ celebrating VE Day,as well as creating a beautiful poster to the Nightingale Hospital.Fantastic work!

Mason Year 3,

Mason created a greatposter to celebrate VE Daythat took place on Friday 8May. He has also written avery descriptive piece ofwriting about what hecould see and hear whengoing for a walk. Welldone!

Logan Year 5,

Logan has been learning about the solarsystem and has drawn a great pictureshowing us whereabouts the planets are inassociation with the sun.

Isolina Reception,

Isolina has been writing a diary in her home learningbook, practising reading high frequency words by sightand making a home for a frog she found in the garden.

Children who have beenattending Garlinge havemade NHS pom pommonsters and have alsoshown there appreciationto NHS staff by creating abeautiful window display.

Jessica Year 3,

Jessica really enjoyed her home learning last week and has shared several photoswith us. She has written a beautiful setting description, showed great understandingof how fossils are formed, got involved with VE day by creating a great windowdisplay and much more. Well done!

Harper Year 3,

Harper has been working hard with herhome learning and has nearlymanaged to fill a whole folder! She hasalso created a wonderful piece Greatwork!

Akshat Year 2,

Akshat has completed a piece of Englishwork based around the text ‘TheFirework’s Maker’s Daughter’ and hasalso looked at the Shang Dynasty inHistory. Keep it up!

William Year 4,

William has written a beautiful poem based on ‘The Magic Box’. He has usedpowerful adjectives to effectively describe the thoughts, feelings, emotionsand objects he would put into his own magic box. Well done!

Mercedes Year 4,

Mercedes has thoroughlyenjoyed reading a story fromher book ‘Animal Stories’ byEnid Blyton. Looking forwardto hearing all about it.

Jack Reception,

Jack has been practising his addition andhas been scoring very highly, evenmanaging top marks. He has also beenlearning about the properties of differentshapes. Great work, keep it up!

Kasey Year 4,

Kasey has made her parents proud as she decided tobake cakes and raise money for the NHS. She set up astall on her drive and made leaflets which she postedto neighbours. She raised a total of £164.90 and hada special trip to South East Ambulance centre to go ina ambulance as a thank you for her hard work. Kyla has worked hard to create a beautifully colourful‘Garden in a jar’ using a range of different materials.

Danny and Reggie Nursery,

Danny and Reggie have been painting using their hands and feet!

Chester Nursery,

Chester and his family have been doing lotsof different activities – they have beenwalking, playing in water and having icecreams, yummy!

Shannon Year 6,

Shannon enjoyed the various different activities in last weeks home learning that related to VE day including; researching about the historic event as well ascreating a diary entry imagining she is a front-line solider being told that the war in Europe is over. Fantastic effort!

Olivia Reception,

Olivia thoroughly enjoyed herdinosaur home learning lastweek and has made her veryown dinosaurs using differentshapes. Olivia has named themBrachi, Tee and Steggie.

Harrison Year 2,

Harrison has sent in some greatpieces of his work linking tosharks. He has researched allabout the underwater creatureand has created a veryinteresting fact file as well aswriting an acrostic poem onthem. Great work!

Ariya Reception,

Ariya has been very busypractising her sounds and words,reading her Biff Chip and Kipperbooks and has been verycreative with various differentarts and craft activities includingcreating a wonderful wall artshowing her appreciation to theNHS for all their hard work. Welldone!

Khaliq Year 2 and Nura Reception,

Khaliq and Nura have been very busy makingsandwiches, playing with Lego and workinghard with their home learning.

Elsie Reception,

Elsie has been extremely busy with her homelearning and has also found time to bake a cake,make pizzas, practice her ballet, help wash the familycar and get creative with lot of different arts andcraft activities.

Eliza Reception,

Eliza has been keeping trackof what day it is by using hercalendar board and has alsomade her very own princesscastle.

Harry Reception,

Harry has been practicing writing his nameand other letter formations, as well aslearning his sounds and how to blend them.Brilliant work, well done!

Lola Nursery,

Lola has been working hardwith her counting carefullyand has also been looking atthe butterfly lifecycle.

She has even made tiffin byfollowing Miss Beaumont’srecipe – yummy!

Belle Nursery,

Belle is loving Nursery’s newDinosaur topic! Belle and herolder sister Katie have beenworking together for their homelearning – well done girls!

Belle’s mum is also working hardto make themed lunches – greatidea!

Archie Reception and Finley Year 2,

These brothers have shared withus some fun activities they haveenjoyed including playing shop,going for walks, playing cars andmaking handprints.

Jacob Year 2,

Jacob has been working hardwith his home learning duringLockdown including practicinghis handwriting and helping tobake.

Seth Year 4,

Seth has sent in a great drawing of thesolar system and has also been workingvery hard on his spellings and Englishwork. Keep it up!

Malachi Reception,

Malachi thoroughly enjoyedmaking his own very hungrycaterpillar using differentmaterials found at home.

Elizabeth Year 4,

Elizabeth has baked independently and has alsomade a mini golf course for the garden by makingthe holes and setting up a café and ice creamshop with costings and signage.

Danny and Reggie Nursery,

The brothers have been playing outside making mud pies.

Zilan Nursery,

Zilan has been playing lots of gameswith her family – well done forworking on your turn taking skills.

Brinley Nursery,

Brinley has been working hard ondeveloping skills like getting dressedand undressed on his own and tidyingup his toys when he is asked! Greatskills to have ready for Reception.

Elliott Year 3,

Elliot has shown a great understanding by explaining and drawing each stage of the water cycle process. Keep up the good work!

Oscar Reception,

Oscar has been very busy andhas been practising his phonics,numbers and letters. He has alsomade a tuck shop where he sellssweets and has even shown ushow to grow pak choi!

Belle Nursery,

Belle looks like she has been enjoying her time off, making some delicious lunches, riding her scooter and creating several pieces of artwork which includes a butterfly, caterpillar and portraits of the Nursery staff and Mr Williams which looks very life like! Well Done Belle.

Ebonie-Rose Nursery,

Ebonie-Rose has been doing lots of different activities including making pizza for lunch, creating Elmer using a milk bottle and created a great piece of chalk art. Very clever, well done!

Sam Year 3,

What an amazing drawing about St George’s Day from Sam and its also lovely to see a good piece of self evaluation work from him.

Jude Year 5,

Jude has sent in a fantastic drawing of a Viking longboat and has written his name in Runic alphabet.

Presley Year 6

It’s great to see Presley readinghis Year 6 class book Kensuke’sKingdom and finding out abouthis new Secondary School.

Oscar Reception,

Oscar has sent in pictures of his homelearning book which includes; learning hisphonics, letters and numbers, making a tuckshop as well as showing us how to grow pakchoi!

Taylor Year 6,

Taylor has been working hardlearning about the different planetsas part of his Science home learningas well as identifying shapes withindifferent flags.

Annabelle Year 4 and Ellen Year 6,

The girls took part in Pajamarama Day by spending Friday 1st May in their pyjamas to celebrate the importance of bedtime stories

Holly Year 1,

Holly has sent in some spectacularwork and has shown great artisticskills using paint and colours whenlearning about the Earth, Sun andMoon. She has even been learningabout the star constellations.

Rhys Year 4,

Rhys has sent ina great postershowing us whatgets him throughthe day duringthe Coronavirus,along with afantastic poem

Mason Year 3,

Mason has written abeautifully descriptivepiece of writing after anature walk and hasalso shown us what hecollected along the way.

Taelor Year 3 and Harrison Year 2,

Taelor and Harrison have been very creative making a map of the world using a variety of different materials and have even designed and made their own monsters. Great work boys!

Lexi Year 3,

Lexi has been busy during lockdown cooking carbonara. She has also planted bluebells which links to her Science unit ‘life process of a plant.’

Eleanor Year 2 and Elizabeth Year 4,

It looks like Eleanor and Elizabeth have been keeping very busy during lockdown.They have made squidgy scope, a birdhouse with their dad and painted pottery.Not forgetting their amazing attempt in making banana bread together.

Douglas Year 6,

Douglas has sent in a great piece of collage work using various media that he found around the house.

Amaya Year 6,

Amaya has worked hard to produce a persuasiveposter to encourage the public not to pollute our seasby using imperative verbs, emotive language andfactual information as part of her English and Sciencehome learning. Superb effort!

Mollie Year 1,

Mollie has looked at the story of George and the Dragon and from thishas described the characters appearance using various adjectives. Shehas also sent in pictures of some great pieces of artwork using differenttextures and media she could find around the house. Great work!

Douglas Year 6,

Douglas has written a wonderful setting description as part of his English home learning and he has also been busy with his homeDIY project where he has painted his garden table. Amazing work!

Archie Year 6,

Archie has made this wonderful poster which hasbeen printed and laminated by the NHS and is ondisplay is the current COVID – 19 ward at QEQM tohelp uplift the doctors and nurses on the frontline.Amazing work!

Cameron Reception,

Cameron has sent in hisfavourite part of the ThreeLittle Pigs; an observationaldrawing from his differentobjects he has collectedduring his beach walk and hasalso created a butterfly out ofshapes. Great work!

Harrison Year 2,

Harrison has been makingelectrical circuits, doing somegardening, having naturewalks through fields, problemssolving with games andlearning some programmingwith a Raspberry pi minicomputer. Keep up the goodwork!

Jack Reception,

Jack has drawn and coloured abeautiful poster for Hedgehogweek. Great work, well done!

Jacob Nursery,

Jacob has been spendingtime in his garden and hasplanted the broad bean hebrought home fromNursery. Looking forward toseeing how big this grows!

Elikem Year 5,

Elikem as been practising hercooking skills and has made alocal Ghanaian tuna and beanpie which looks very tasty!

Mia Year 6,

Mia has drawn a beautiful piece ofartwork free hand which links toher Science topic on animals. Veryimpressive!

Dylan Reception,

During lockdown Dylan has been working veryhard and making great progress with hisreading and writing. He has also made his ownnumber line; played find one more withsweets; and made a cool butterfly.

Alfie and Amelia Year 2 and Year 4,

Alfie has been busy making a chocolate cake as part of his homeschool learning and has also created houses for a miniature villagewith his sister Amelia. Great imagination guys!

Finn Year 5,

Finn has sent in an excellent drawing of a snowleopard – well done Finn!

Reo Year 5,

Reo has completed a home science experimentand has been practising his cooking skills as partof his DT lesson by making pancakes and bakinga chocolate cake which looks delicious!

Class 6C,

Class 6C have attempted the sock Olympics challenge that is replacing ournormal sports day this year by completing various different activities includingsock throw, sock jump and sock keepy uppies. Their scores will to go towardswinning points for their house team colours. Good luck everyone!

Kiran Year 1, Rohan Year 3,

Kiran and Rohan had great fun completing the sock Olympics challenge with another Garlinge familysocially distanced in their local park. Great job, well done!

Isolina Reception,

Isolina has watched ‘Were Going On A Bear Hunt,’ and discussed with hermum where she would go and what she might feel when going on her ownbear hunt. She also has described the appearance of a bear and has drawna picture to go alongside her work. Fantastic Effort!

Rory Reception and Ruby Year 3,

Ruby and Rory have been interested inwatching Springwatch and Countryfileduring lockdown and wanted to builda pond so that frogs could visit in theirgarden. Great work both of you!

Mia–Bella Year 1,

Mia–Bella has enjoyed her home learning on Hibernation, Volcanoes, Habitats and Dinosaurs over the last few weeks and decided to

create her own habitat. She has used a variety of different materials to create her volcanic island including paint, garden plants and

toy animals. She also has considered adding a cave for the bears to hibernate. Great piece of work. Well Done!

Taylor Year 6,

Taylor has been learning about the Polar Bear, finding out where it lives, how it survives and its appearance. He has also drawn a fantastic sketch of the animal. Well Done!

Liberty Reception,

Liberty has finally

released caterpillars that

have turned into

beautiful butterflies.

Presley Year 6,

Presley has been very busy with his home learning researching

about World Ocean Day. From his findings Presley has written a

poem and produced a poster highlighting the damaging effects it is

having on our seas and oceans. He also enjoyed his Design

Technology work that was set this week which focused on the artist

William Morris where he was able to design his own symmetrical

image. Fantastic work!

Ebonie-Rose Nursery,

Ebonie-Rose has been watching her caterpillars turn into

butterflies and has also become a master baker during

Lockdown – she has made rise crispy cakes and mini quiches

which look very delicious!

Poppy Nursery,

Poppy has been very

busy this week with

her reading, making a

fabulous Bee picture

and she has also been

doing some dough

disco – strengthening

the muscles in her

fingers to help with

her writing practice.

Isolina looked like she had a fantastic timedown at the beach. She had so much funshe even drew a picture of her and herDad playing in the sand and written abouther adventure and what she managed tofind. Well done!

Kiran Year 1 and Rohan Year 3,

Kiran and Rohan have been very busy with their home learning. They have been developing great Science and Technology skills, writing about what exciting activities they have been up to during Lockdown and have also raised £27 for the NHS making cookies. Well done boys!
