Our team, Flash Mafia, is developing an app to help a concerned person to stop animal mistreatment by providing them with an app that will tell them the signs, how to report it and rescue centres are

and their opening

I have summarised that our users care deeply about the

treatment of animals and that they should be safe and

protected. They also want to learn more about prevention and ways of alerting people.

PETA have 2 relevant apps but are mainly stories about animal abuse and about going vegan.

They are good for examples and some contact information but not enough variety and the contact information may not be local. Not

many others are available at the moment and there may be a gap in the market.

Data- the data on a mobile is where you connect to the internet through you mobile service. Some phones are better than others for this but in theory all smart phones have a data connection. For our app it is not necessary to use data but we will have the option to as each day there will be a different story. This, primarily will be updated automatically but the user will have the option to turn this off. the majority of teenagers, which is who the app is aimed at, go on the internet either through Wi-Fi or their data connection almost everyday. Which allows us to use that time without costing the user anymore money than they would already spend.The app will be simple to make as there are not many features of the phone that the app will use. Although in the future we would like to be looking at using the camera feature on the phone so people can upload pictures of animal mistreatment and a photo recogniser can see if it is mistreated or just how the animal is supposed to look. We would like to add a feedback area to the app that most users can see so they don’t see the same animal and believe the same thing.

• Our target audience is 10 year olds and over. Most teenager wouldn’t have a large disposable income.

• I think that the animal rescue shelters would also benefit as more cases of abuse will be seen and noticed so more animals saved

• Some people that might want to advertise are other apps based on similar topics or rescue games.

• Our app is planning to be paid for advertisements to be shown. Then if the customers want they can pay for premium rate to remove the advertisements

• We are planning on putting it on the app store and possibly having an event.

• We are thinking of putting small adverts in newspapers as this is cheap and many people will see it.

• Also we are looking into making a web advert/pop up which we know many people see but we are still unsure as to the price of this.
