CMAA is a registered provider of continuing education for the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). Certificates are available through the NCEES/ACEC Registered Continuing Education Program (RCEP) at www.rcep.net All transcripts are reported based on the email address provided to CMAA when you complete the online attendance form. “CMAA has met the standards and requirements of the Registered Continuing Education Program. Credit

earned on completing of this program will be reported to RCEP at rcep.net. A certificate of completion will be issued to each participant. As such, it doesn’t not include content that may be deemed or construed to be an approval or endorsement by the RCEP.”

CMAA is registered with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as an approved CES provider of LUs. One educational contact hour equals one (1) LU. To receive LUs through CMAA, you must provide your AIA member number on all registration materials and attendance forms.

PlanGrid (Jamestown)

Advancing Professional Construction and Program Management Worldwide

“On a project with the size and scope of Ponce City Market, clear

communication and coordination is paramount. J.M. Wilkerson’s introduction

of Plan Grid to the project allowed for updates to be shared across multiple

general contractors, ownership and design professionals instantly – allowing

for better version control and clearer communication across all of the teams.

This shared information included not only changes to the plans, but answers

to RFI’s, punch lists, and countless other coordination issues. Beyond the

utility in the field during the construction process, Plan Grid has also helped

our on-site engineering and property management teams to be able to

access everything they needed in order to learn about the building, because

the most recent versions of all plans, specifications, and submittals are all

organized and housed in one place.”

PlanGrid (J.M. Wilkerson)

“I think Plangrid benefits me most of all because of being able to check previous

versions. It is also particularly quick about sending screen snapshots of

whatever detail you are talking about.

Even if a sub had a breakdown and did not use the latest set on PlanGrid, we

can always drop back and point out how it was available to them even if it

wasn’t sent directly to them and part of their contract.

No arguments over cost about fixing. This is on top of most subs using it and

not having a problem about previous sets of drawings. Version control is the

chief advantage of the PlanGrid program.”

Uses for Tablets on Projects

How to use New Technology to Streamline Jobsite Information Work Flows:

• Replacing paper plans and specs with electronic documents that authorized team members can access from any device;

• Reducing the need for IT support and computing hardware at jobsite trailers;

• Speeding up the submission and approval of change requests, invoices and other field-generated documents;

• Real-time linking of job financial and operational data, allowing managers to react to potential problems before they become real losses;

• Eliminating the need for multiple trips between jobsites and the office to deliver, gather or process information.

J.M. Wilkerson ROI (Photos)

Main Item Focused on is Time Savings for Superintendents

• 10 hours per week per Supervisor ($34 ph average)

• 10 hours x $34 ph = $340 labor hours

• 18 Supers x $340= $6,120 labor hours

• $6,120 x 52 weeks = $318,240

What can a Superintendent Find in 10 Extra Hours on a Project?

• Processes tracked

• Progress photos, daily reports, viewing drawings, email
