Appliqué Quilting Circles Christmas Tree Wall Hanging Free Project Instructions Helpful Notions: Starch or Starch alternative, such as Best Press™ (BP60031) Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler Fabric Marking Pen (FLSET) Translucent Foundation Paper (TP100) Sewer's Fix It Tape (SFT4) Klassé Embroidery Needles, size 75/11 (A6-18075) Prewound bobbins (PB24W) Point Turner & Seam Creaser (PT88) Helpful Tips: Stabilize background fabric with a spray starch or a starch alternative, such as Best Press Starch Alternative. Prepare the project center following these instructions: - On the background fabric (white), draw a 10½" x 15" rectangle centered on the fabric using a fabric marking pen. - Print and arrange templates to be embroidered on the background fabric, using the tips below. - Fuse the Fusible No Show Mesh Stabilizer to the wrong side of the background fabric. From the charm pack, select seven different charm squares for the circle appliqués. - Audition various fabrics to create the look you are trying to achieve. Choose coordinating or contrasting solid thread colors for stitching. Design placement and alignment tip: To ensure proper placement of designs, we recommend that you print templates for each of the designs used (as noted on the following pages) and arrange them on the background fabric, staying ⅜" from the marked rectangle. Although you can use conventional printer paper to print templates, using Translucent Foundation Paper will allow you to see through the paper, making it easier to align the designs. Be sure to trim away excess paper around stitch field for easier arranging. Tape templates in place using Sewer's Fix It Tape. e low tack adhesive allows the tape to be removed easily without leaving adhesive residue on fabric. All design components are pictured on the following pages. Instructions indicate the order in which the various designs may be stitched. To embroider the appliqué circles, refer to the instructions included with the designs. When the embroidered appliqué is complete, you can either leave the stabilizer or gently remove the excess stabilizer by cutting close to the embroidery designs. Press. Trim the embroidered background down to 10¼" x 14½". Cut twenty-eight 2½" squares from the remaining charm squares. Piece seven squares to create a border section. Press seams flat.
