    Global Delivery Model

The Unisys delivery model is based on a four tieredmodel using

    > Onsite (your site)

    > Onshore (our site)

    > Near-shore (nearest competency ctr)

    > Offshore blended resourcing

Important: The only thing that is off-shored is back-office,

low risk and it is always done with customer involvement

to understand the best sourcing model for the business.

The model leverages multiple skill centres to provide

services and solutions and Globally we have 25 years

experience in offshore development, maintenance and

    support.

Because of the continued investments in training, tools

and development we can provide a structured,

standardised global support pool for application

    Market Trends

    ApplicationOutsourcing

    Competitive

    Landscape

ContractsWe are seeing a Trend to longer deals, which are ultimately more

comprehensive. Business change requires flexibility and this

    requirement demands meaningful SLAs.

Cost is a usually an essential value proposition. There is now a greater realism to balance cost

and value. It is constantly on the CIO agenda ~and as such is usually the driver or decision

    criteria for outsourcing.

Global Sourcing has had a profound impact on

application delivery. Essentially it is a driver for

cost, however we need to balance cost against risk. There are many other unforeseen benefits that are

borne out of GS which is covered later.

For businesses there are now more

options, but a complex and difficultselection process. We are seeing more

often a Lack of clear differentiation among

service providers thus creating a newfocus on relationship and vertical skills.

Application Outsourcing competency has matured and thecomfort in the market is increasing. Most CIOs are cautious tobuild large IT resource pools to manage their applications. Theysee the benefit in AO coming from reducing the risk of retention

    IP to a supplier.

    Why outsource Applications?

    Gartner survey conducted around what

companies are looking for when they

    outsource produced some interesting

    results.

CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and the business all

agreed that the reduction in cost is the

    main driver for outsourcing their

    applications.

    The other main drivers are:-

    Take advantage of offshore delivery

models Reduce application staff headcount on

application support allowing a focus on

    core business

A move from customised to a

    standardised platform

And improve the speed to market.
