Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental shortcircuit.

For vehicles with automatictransmission, Unsnap and removesmaller trim-ring from around shifter.(Figure A)For vehicles with manualtransmission, Unscrew and removeshifter knob. (Figure A)

6 Remove (2) screws above the radio and(2) screws below the radio. Also remove(2) screws securing the radio/trim panelassembly. (Figure E)

Remove (4) screws securing the radio tothe trim panel and remove the radio.

Remove (8) screws securing the factorybrackets to the radio and remove thebrackets from the radio. (These bracketsare required for stacked ISO and doubleDIN installations. You can skip this stepfor DIN or ISO installations with pocket).

Unplug and remove the radio / trim panelassembly. (Figure F)

Continue to kit assembly.

Attach the radio / housing assembly tothe radio trim panel using the factoryscrews removed during disassembly.(Figure C)

Slide the radio into the DIN cage until itsnaps into place. (Figure B)

Secure DIN cage to radio housing bybending the locking tabs outward.(Figure A)

Continue to final assembly.

Slide DIN cage (supplied with radio) intothe radio housing from the front.(Figure A)

Snap the ISO trim-plate onto the front ofthe assembled radio and housing.(Figure B)

NOTE: To remove the radio unsnap andremove the ISO trim-plate. Using a flatblade screwdriver disengage ISObrackets from the radio housing andslide radio out of radio housing.



Align the holes in the ISO brackets withthe holes in the radio. Mount the bracketsto the radio using screws supplied withthe radio. (Figure A)

Place the left factory mounting bracket(removed from radio during disassembly)on the left side of the radio. Align the pinson the trim-plate with the holes on thefactory bracket and mount the factorybracket to the radio using screws suppliedwith the radio. (Figure B)

Cut and remove center divider from doubleDIN trim-plate. (Figure A)

Place the double DIN trim-plate on thefront of the radio. (Figure B)

Attach the radio bracket assembly to theradio trim panel using thefactory screws removed duringdisassembly. (Figure C)

Place the right factory mounting bracket(Removed from radio during disassembly)on the right side of the radio. Align thepins on the trim-plate with the holes onthe factory bracket and mount the factorybracket to the radio using screws suppliedwith the radio. (Figure B)

Place the left factory mounting bracket(Removed from radio during disassembly)on the left side of the ISO units. Align thepins on the trim-plate with the holes onthe factory bracket and mount the factorybracket to the ISO units using screwssupplied with the radio. (Figure A)

Place the double DIN trim-plate on thefront of the two ISO units. (Figure A)

Attach the assembled units and bracketsto the radio trim panel using the factoryscrews removed during disassembly.(Figure B)

Place the right factory mounting bracket(Removed from radio during disassembly)on the right side of the ISO units. Alignthe pins on the trim-plate with the holeson the factory bracket and mount thefactory bracket to the ISO units usingscrews supplied with the radio. (Figure A)

FINAL ASSEMBLY1 Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown.

Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections asshown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to preventelectrical short circuit.)

2 Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation.

Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly.

Make wiring connections using the EIA color code chart shown below and the instructions included with the radio.Metra recommends making connections as shown below; Strip, Splice, Solder, Tape. Isolate and individually tapeoff ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
