The storage pipes will be located within the Grade I Listed Leasowes Park, which is designated as a Conservation Area, a Site of Interest for Nature Conservation (SINC) and within the Green Belt. The storage tanks will hold up to 250,000 litres of excess storm water during periods of heavy rainfall, allowing it to be released back into the sewer network in a controlled manner once the peak flow has passed, thereby preventing water backing up and out of the storm drains and flooding nearby homes. it to be released back into the sewer network in a

thereby preventing water backing up and out of the

storm drains and flooding nearby homes.

One-to-one meetings and a public consultation

event were held to inform local residents of the

The suggestions and requests made by the local

residents, including the retention of an existing
