Cellulite Stage ICellulite in stage I is only evident in general with the so-called pinch-test. With this pinch-test, the typical dimpling of the cellulite will be seen. If the shockwave application starts at this stage, very good results will be expected. The application should always be conducted in the direction of the lymphatic outward flow. The pressure of the handpiece can be increased, if treated in the direction of the lymphatic knots. A selective activation of the lymphatic knots can occur before the basic application.

In addition to regular use of the custom developed, anti cellulite gel, a cell-defining exercise program or sport lasting at least 30 minutes should be performed once or twice weekly. Approximately 2 to 3 liters of water should be drunk daily, with 1/2 to 1 liter directly following treatment. A well-balanced, nutritional diet improves the expected effect of the treatment.

Cellulite Stage IIIn cellulite stage II, a clear deterioration of the skin will usually already be recognised. Rippled skin will be recognised, especially with tense musculature. The affected area is even less elastic and taut.

The application should always be conducted in the direction of the lymphatic outward flow. The pressure of the handpiece can be increased, if treated in the direction of the lymphatic knots. A selective activation of the lymphatic knots can occur before the basic application.

Cellulite Stage IIIIn stage III, the skin changes and depressions are permanently visible. The skin shows a permanent rippled appearance. In addition to shockwave treatment during cellulite stage III, a change of eating habits and exercise programs should be advised.

The application should always be conducted in the direction of the lymphatic outward flow. The pressure of the handpiece can be increased, if treated in the direction of the lymphatic knots. A selective activation of the lymphatic knots can occur before the basic application.

Weakness of the muscle and connective tissue on the upper armThe application should always be conducted in the direction of the lymphatic outward flow. The pressure of the handpiece can be increased, if treated in the direction of the lymphatic knots. A selective activation of the lymphatic knots can occur before the basic application.

This treatment is performed/conducted with both hands. The inside of the upper arm is treated with the handpiece first statically and then dynamically. To generate a counterpressure the other hand is placed on the opposite/outside of the upper arm.

Weakness of the muscle and connective tissue on the lower abdomenThe selected energy has to correspond to the patients individual pain perception. No general statement can be given. The energy level needs to be selected to insure that each application is pain-free (Ø = 90 mJ).

This treatment is performed/conducted with both handy. A skin fold is generated on the adomen with one hand to create volume, while the other hand moves the handpiece dynamically at an angle of 45°.

Application Information

Application· cellulite level I· cellulite level II· cellulite level III· weakness of the muscle and the connective tissue on the upper arm· weakness of the muscle and the connective tissue on the lower abdomen· stretch marks (striae) at the hip· stretch marks (striae) at the tight· stretch marks (striae) on the buttocks

ContraindicationsApplication is contraindicated in the following cases:· vascular diseases present in or near the treatment area· local infections in the treatment area· around malignant or benign tumours· directly on cartilage surfaces or near the small facet joints of the spinal column· directly over implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers, analgesic pumps, etc.· in areas in which mechanical energy in the form of vibrations may lead to tissue damage such as metal implants after a fracture

In general we advise against treatments· if blood clotting disorders are present or the client is receiving a treatment that results in a change in the blood clotting behaviour during pregnancy· on clients with neurological diseases resulting in impairment of the vasomotor function in the treatment area· over air-filled cavities such as treatment on the thoracic spine, etc.· on children, particularly around the epiphyseal plates

Care is required for clients· with impaired sensibility· with severe autonomic disorders· under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol as circulatory stresses and inadequate treatment responses cannot be excluded.

Warnings

· Users of the ZWave / enPuls shockwave application device must be trained in how to use the system properly and have the appropriate skills.· The ZWave / enPuls handpiece is not designed for permanent use. Per max. 6000 shocks a therapy break of 15min. becomes necessary.

· Danger / Warning:Clients who are concurrently receiving treatment involving a reduction and/or modification of blood clotting or prolongation of the blood clotting time (e.g. with acetylsalicylic acid) should consult their therapist about possibly stopping this treatment as these clients may be more prone to greater haemorrhaging and bruising when radial shockwaves are applied.

· It must not be used in wet areas. If it is used in wet areas, significant damage may result, and clients and users may be endangered.

The instruments must only be operated with the mains cable provided.Protect the mains cable from any mechanical stress.
