o In Netherlands 16.950 heat pumps/year are installed with acapacity of 350 MW

o Already over 100.000 are installed ranging from 2kW to 500kWo More than 400.000 gas boilers are installed per yearo And 8.000 solar thermal systems

Lessons learned

Monitoring under SEPEMO have shown that of importance are:

• Integral approach of the overall process from design, toinstallation and maintenance for new building or renovationprojects

• Design and choice of the source, heat pump and heating systemmust match the energy needs

• In low energy buidings DHW is the main energy user andbehaviour has a large influence on the overall energy use

• Heat pump systems demand a higher level of building quality
