Admission Requirements and Procedure for Master of Physical Education (M.P.E.S.) (Two Years) Course Four Semester information

1. Objectives :

(i) The purpose of this course is to prepare highly qualified leaders in the field of Physical education, sports, health and recreation.

(ii) To serve as centre of excellence in Physical Education in order to promote research and to disseminate research knowledge.

(iii) To provide necessary infrastructure for imparting professional training to devoted/talented persons as teacher in field of Physical education, sports, health and recreation.

2. Eligibity for Master of Physical Education in Sports Science :

A candidate shall be eligible to appear in admission test for M.P.E.S. course if he/she has passed any one of following examinations with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST or sports person who have won medal at nationl/ International tournament in the preceding three years).

(a) The examination for the degree of Bachelor of Physical Education or B.P.E. Integrated of Four years duration any recognized university or an examination recognized as equivalent there to :

OR

(b) The examination with 50% marks for post-graduate diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) (Old) of not less than one year's duration of any recognized University or a board appointed/approved by the Education department of the state.

OR

(c) The examination for a degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) of not less than one year's course of a recognized university, after graduation.

(d) Should be Physically fit for daily heavy load Physical activities and should not have Physical deformity or mental disability.

and with a matriculation certificate showing age proof must be attached with the application from. (2) Photostat (Xerox) copies of Certificates without attestation will not be accepted. (3) In-service candidates must apply through proper channel. (4) Incomplete application forms are liable to be rejected. (5) Without which the application form will not be accepted. (6) Duly filled in Application forms along with the requisit form fee and related doucument should be

submit to chairman Guj., Uni. Admission Committee (MPES) I.A.S. Center, Gujrat University, Ahmedabad-9. on or upto 10-10-2020.

- An application form other than Gujarat University seeking admission must be accompanied by the

applicant Eligibility Certificate issued by this University without which the application form will not be accepted.

- Admission will be granted on the basis of merit in the Phy. Fit. Test (as per Appendix-A) - Only Gujarat University affilited college qualifying degree will be considred for Gujarat University
