Through the use of technology to bring people from different groups together across large distances, we build bridges of understanding, reduce ignorance, and, ultimately, lessen conflict. We are looking for dynamic young advocates from Metro Manila in the fields of peace building; Information and Communications Technology (ICT); social entrepreneurship; and sustainable development. This program offers you an opportunity to work alongside young leaders who are committed to change and who are dedicated to being that change! The Training The 2010 Peace through Technology Training is a nationwide program for Filipi no youth. This training program has already connected youth from the following cities: 1. Zamboa nga Cit y with Met ro Man ila 2. Il igan Cit y wi th Metro Manila 3. Gen eral Santos Ci ty with Metro Manila To complete the program cycle, we are selecting 20 youth leaders from Cotabato City and connect them with 20 youth leaders from Metro Manila for a training that would provide them with skills and theory in the following areas: Facilitation and Peace Building; Information and Communications Technology (ICT); ICT as a tool for building understanding between people from different backgrounds ; and Project management.
