INTRODUÇÃO
In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.
Bill Cosby
Leiam, agora, alguns avisos e lembretes importantes:
Copiem os horários de aula na tabela da folha anterior e nunca se esqueçam de trazer a apostila para as aulas de inglês;
preocupem), por isso mantenham seus cadernos de inglês entre seus materiais. Eu continuarei entregando exercícios impressos para que vocês façam e colem nos cadernos com os vistos;
That’s all folks!
With my best wishes,
Teacher Aline Midori TakaharaSEGUNDO ANO

Immediate Future (going to) - affirmative, negative and interrogative forms
Sujeito am are going infinitivo
Is
Sujeito To be + going infinitivo complemento
My friends are going to play Soccer tomorrowMeus amigos vão jogar Futebol amanhã
Exemplos:Immediate futureVerb to read … verbo ler I am going to work................. eu vou trabalharYou are going to work............você vai trabalharHe is going to work ...............ele vai trabalharShe is going to work ..............ela vai trabalhar* It is going to work .............. ele/ela vai trabalharWe are going to work ............nós vamos trabalharYou are going to work ...........vocês vão trabalharThey are going to work .......... eles/elas vão trabalhar
Em outras palavras, o Futuro Simples (I will go...)
Expressa:
a) ações que vão ocorrer no futuro próximo.Ex: It is going to rain. The sky is dark. (Vai chover. O céu está escuro).
b) planos ou intenções.Ex: I am going to visit her tonight. (Eu vou visitá-la hoje à noite).
c) probabilidade.Ex: She is probably going to buy a car next month. (Ela provavelmente irá comprar um carro no próximo mês).
Forma Afirmativa
O Immediate Future é formado pelo presente simples do verbo to be (am / is / are), pelo gerúndio do verbo to go (going) e pelo verbo principal no infinitivo, com a partícula to.
To work = trabalhar
Forma Afirmativa Forma negativa Forma negativa (contraída)I am going to workYou are going to workHe is going to workShe is going to work

Expressões usadas no Immediate Future
As expressões de tempo usadas no Immediate Future são as mesmas usadas no Simple Future. As mais comuns são:
soon – logo.......tomorrow – amanhã.........tonight – hoje à noite.......next – próximo(a)
Prepositions of place, time and frequency
As preposições de tempo no inglês são: at, in, on, until, after, around, before, between, entre muitas outras.
- She is studying in England, at Cambridge High School (Ela está estudando na Inglaterra, na Universidade de Cambridge).
- The car is in the garage (o carro está [dentro] da garagem)
- The book is on the table (o livro está na [em cima] da mesa)
- I'm at home (estou em casa)
- The dog jumped at my face (o cachorro pulou em meu rosto)
O ON significa "em cima de", "sobre":
- He left the wallet on the table (ele deixou a carteira na [em cima da] mesa)
Until significa "até que", "até":
- I'll not go home until she arrive (Eu não vou pra casa até ela chegar)
After: depois, após:
- I'll go home after the party (eu vou pra casa depois da festa)
Possessive Case (to belong to)
Ex.:This is Mary’s book. (Este é o livro da Mary).
That is Susan’s car. (Aquele é o carro da Susan).
Those are Ted’s boots.
Ex.:Chris’ apartment is very huge. (O apartamento do Chris é imenso).
Charles’ father is so strict. (O pai do Charles é tão severo).
The girls’ backpacks are pink.
Ex.:Mary and Tom’s daughter, Susan, is really smart.
Bob and Jack’s bedroom is a mess.
Jack and Jill’s video game is on the floor.
Ex.:Carol’s and Susan’s daughters study at the same college. Obs.: Nesse caso, tanto Carol quanto Susan têm filhas.Tom’s and Sam’s offices are on that building.

Present Perfect Tense
- affirmative, negative and interrogative forms
USO DO PRESENT PERFECT TENSE Como formamos o presente Perfect Tense?
SUJEITO + O VERBO HAVE + O PARTICÍPIO PASSADO DO VERBO
I have spoken To me
They have sung many songsHe has been to England
To speak spoke spoken falar, conversar
To sing sang sung cantar
To be was/were been Ser,estarTo come Came Come Vir, irTo cut Cut Cut cortar
I have played a lot. Eu joguei muito.
She has danced very much. Ela dançou muito.
They have started the English course. Eles começaram o curso de inglês.
To play played Played Jogar, brincar
To dance danced Danced dancar
To start Started Started Iniciar, comecar
USO DO PRESENTE PERFECT
Por exemplo, temos: a) I have been to Caldas Novas= Eu estive (fui à) em Caldas Novas.b) Marta has travelled to Rio de Janeiro. Marta viajou para o Rio de Janeiro.c) They have won five golden medals= Eles ganharam cinco medalhas de ouro. Na oração: I have been to Caldas Novas. Na oração: Marta has travelled to Rio de Janeiro. Na oração: They have won five golden medals.
I have had a lot of trouble recently.Eu tenho tido vários problemas recentemente. She has always stayed at Castro`s Hotel.
I have studied English since 1988. - FORMA NEGATIVA:
A forma negativa do Present Perfect Continuous é feita acrescentando-se not entre o Presente Simples do verbo to have (have / has) e o Presente Perfeito do verbo to be. O verbo principal permanece no gerúndio:
* FORMA CONTRAÍDA: haven't / hasn't
I have not been sleeping well since last week because my husband snores a lot.(Não estou dormindo bem desde a semana passada porque meu marido ronca muito.)They have not been using the blender for months. (Eles não usam o liquidificador há meses.)She hasn't been living in San Diego since 1995. She has been living there since 1997.(Ela não está morando em San Diego desde 1995. Ela mora lá desde 1997.)They haven't been working since nine o'clock.
Susan has not been reading any book for one year!
NEGATIVE FORM: SUJEITO + PRESENTE SIMPLES DO VERBO TO HAVE + NOT + PRESENTE PERFEITO DO VERBO TO BE + GERÚNDIO DO VERBO PRINCIPAL
- FORMA INTERROGATIVA:
A forma interrogativa do Present Perfect Continuous é feita com o Presente Simples do verbo to have (have / has) posicionado antes do sujeito. O verbo to be permanece no Presente Perfeito e o verbo principal no gerúndio:
Has he been washing his car for two hours?
Have you been working since eight o' clock? (Você está trabalhando desde as oito horas?)
What have you been doing since I last saw you?(O que você fez/tem feito desde a última vez que lhe vi?)
How long have you been living here? (Há quanto tempo você mora aqui?)
INTERROGATIVE FORM: PRESENTE SIMPLES DO VERBO TO HAVE + SUJEITO + PRESENTE PERFEITO DO VERBO TO BE + GERÚNDIO DO VERBO PRINCIPAL
Complete the sentences. Use the present perfect form of the verbs in brackets.
(the coach / arrive) yet?
1. Martin (not bought) the train tickets.
2. I (not make) dinner yet.
3. (you / hear) this song before?

5. Max and Jill (not decide) where to go for their holiday.
6. (your sister / find) a new job yet?
7. (they / send) a text to Jerry?
THE SIMPLE PAST TENSE X THE SIMPLE PRESENT PERFECT TENSE O passado simples descreve uma ação que ocorreu em um tempo determinado no passado. OBSERVE OS EXEMPLOS. I have been to Caldas Novas I went to Caldas Novas last week.
a) I have been to Caldas Novas. (Eu estive em
Caldas Novas)b) I went to Caldas Novas last week.
(Eu fui à Caldas Novas na semana passada)
I went to Caldas Novas last month.
I went to Caldas Novas last year.
I went to Caldas Novas last Saturday.
I went to Caldas Novas in 2001.
I went ot Caldas Novas three months ago.
No quadro acima os advérbios: last week, last month, last year, last Saturday, in 2001 e ago são usados com o passado simples para expressar quando a ação ocorreu.
1. Complete as frases a seguir com o tempo verbal correto (Simple Past OU Present Perfect Simple):
A: (you / taste / ever) ______________ sushi?
B: Yes, I (eat) _____________ sushi at least five times so far.

Have you already finished the exercises? I haven`t explained them yet! (você já terminou os exercícios? Eu ainda nem os expliquei).
