Hello everyone, and welcome back to Apocalypse Please!For Weeks 5-8 “But You Know I'm Your's”

At the end of last chapter Mara lifted the first two

restrictions of the challenge, Hopelessness and the Artistrestriction. Unfortunately it was a Tuesday night that shecame home with said promotion so she had to wait for awhole week to invite Gerry over. Once a week passed sheinvited him over, and asked him to move in – which heaccepted of course.

So now we're at the start of a new chapter, with Gerry justmoved in. As a reminder, for the time being I'm still playingby Pinstar's original rules since I only had Uni and Seasonsinstalled at first. I'll let you know when I switch over andinstalled more packs. :D

Things are about to get more difficult with two adults tofeed everyday and still only one serving of food and noshowers... let's see how Mara and Gerry fair shall we?



It's so wonderful to have Gerry here with me now. My nights

and days aren't lonely anymore, we've found something tofill our time with. ;)

And now that we live together we're ready to start ourfamily. I'm a bit sad to know that once I become pregnantI'll have to quit my job, but I've saved up enough money

that it won't be a problem.



Remember how Orlando Centowski used to call me all of

the time? Well it seems Gerry has his own teenage “fan”,Ivy Copur calls him all of the time. Oh, and if you'rewondering why Gerry looks so excited...



Well, I'm pregnant already which is fantastic since I know

I'm not a young spring chick anymore. Being pregnant makesme miss modern conveniences even more than before. Iwould love nothing better than to take a nice long soak in atub right now to soothe my aching back.



I walked in on Gerry sponge bathing the other day, how he

can stand to use that awful water all over his body isbeyond me! I can barely tolerate using it on my hands as itis.---I for one am pretty excited that Gerry autonomously sponge bathes, Mara is too neat to participate in said

activity.



Gerry still hasn't found a job in the culinary field, and I've had

to quit my job. If you miss one day*, they assume you've quitanyway these days.---*The slacker restriction makes it so sims can't miss a single day even if they have vacation days, so that makes pregnancies pretty tricky to plan around work sometimes. Since Mara had

already topped Art, I figured she'd just quit her job.



My pregnancy had a lot of ups and downs. There were days

when I felt on the verge of starvation. So I'm relieved, yetin pain, to be going into labor.



Gerry and I have had a beautiful baby girl that we named

Alison* she looks like a little female Gerry so far.---* Alison is named after “Alison” by Elvis Costello. I'll benaming all of the children after song titles just as I did with the Peters' Apocalypse challenge. I'll also be takingthe chapter titles from the lyrics of the kid's songs.



Gerry and I have been so tired lately taking care of little Alison,

but we're both relieved that there's plenty of formula that wasprepackaged to feed our little baby. The same isn't true withfeeding ourselves* food is still really scarce for us.---*Thank goodness the culinary restriction doesn't say anythingabout baby's bottles, things are going to get interesting later

though as Alison gets to be a child.



Things have been so stressful and exciting lately that Gerry

and I had forgotten we weren't married yet. The night thatAlison was born Gerry pulled out the two rings he hadpurchased at LFT and we exchanged our vows making ourunion official.



I'm a really lucky woman to have found a husband as good

to me as Gerry. We of course “celebrated” our marriagelater that night, we both want to have more than one childso we “celebrate” every chance we get.



Alison seems to be our good luck charm because the next

morning Gerry finally found a job as a waiter. He waspromoted to a prep cook that first day when the head chef saw him putting together appetizers in a flash.



Good news, I'm pregnant again! Gerry and I are ecstatic. We'realso a bit anxious, my appetite multiplies when I'm pregnant,we worry about the health of the baby since I eat so little.---Week 6 is what I ended up calling the Red Week, Mara & Gerry

seemed perpetually on the verge of starving to death!

WEEK 6



Our little Alison had her first birthday today, she looks somuch like Gerry it's almost hard to believe that she got anyof my genes!



Alison is a Gemini with 5 Neat/8 Outgoing/9 Active/3Playful/1 Nice point. Her looks and her personality line upmore with Gerry, it seems my game always favors outgoingsims.



The day after Alison's birthday I went into labor again.

Fortunately Gerry was home to help me...



Because we had twins, the first born was our little guyBuddy.---Buddy is named after “Buddy Holly” by Weezer.



And another boy we named Clint. They both have Gerry'sblack hair and dark eyes.---Clint is named after “Clint Eastwood” by The Gorillaz



One of the things I brought home with me from college was

a container of smart milk. It is rumored to help with earlychildhood development. Each of my children will get onebottle as a toddler, so we'll have some left over for mygrandchildren. Well, that is if my children decide to havechildren.



Alison is now a child, and she's finally starting to look a little bitlike me. She's pretty excited for school to start, and was sad when

we told her she'd only be going until she was teen. The local highschool still hasn't been rebuilt after the collapse of theneighborhood.---The education restriction “shuts down” the high school and collegemaking it extremely important to top culinary soon! No more free

food at school once the kids hit their teens.



Gerry has been promoted a few times since I last told you

about him, he's now a executive chef. He said it's been along process of convincing suppliers that it's safe to travelto Hiddenbrook, but he says he's making progress everyday.---I cannot wait until Gerry tops culinary and food is nolonger such a dilemma!



The boys had their birthdays today, they're both extremely adorablelittle guys.---

Both of the boys are Aries just like their dad, but with varying personality traits.Buddy (on the left) – 10 Neat/8 Outgoing/6 Active/3 Playful/3 NiceClint (on the right) – 6 Neat/10 Outgoing/5 Active/0 Playful/10 Nice



Gerry and I are very smitten with our darling boys. Alison

grew up so fast that we're trying our best to really cherisheach moment with the twins.



Today's my birthday, and while I'm not upset about it like

most people, I'm definitely not excited. My children are soyoung still, I just want to always be there for them.

I haven't shared my anxiety about my age with Gerry. Ican't. I don't want to make him concerned about somethingI shouldn't be worrying about myself.



So life continues as usual, it's still a perpetual winter, the

region's water is still unusable, food distribution centersstill refuse to come here. Not to mention the fact thateveryone is literally afraid of leaving their homes unless it'scompletely necessary... Sometimes I think I feel too securewith Gerry around, but I can't live my life in paranoia.



The twins celebrated their birthday today, we of course hadto celebrate with Buddy first since he's the older of thetwo. Only by a few minutes, but Buddy won't let us forgetit.

WEEK 7



Which is okay with Clint because he relishes in all of the extra attentionAlison claims he's getting as the “baby” of the family. The phrase thegrass is greener on the other side doesn't really work with our childrensince all they've ever seen is snow.

Though I love and appreciate what Gerry and I are trying to do for thistown, sometimes I just wish my children were having a normal

childhood.



Today all of my children got to go totheir first day of school. With all of the snow lately this is the first daythe buses had dared to make the long

trip to our house. They were allexcited. Don't let Clint's expressionfool you, he was just jealous that Al(Alison) got on the bus before him.



Without a job, and with all of my children at school, andGerry at work I had some time to catch up with someneighbors. Well, actually I've never met Andrea before, butshe had heard of me. It seems Anna and my friend Allisonhave been spreading the news that I've finally gotten someart and musical supplies being brought back into the region.

While it's not water or food, art and music do feed the soul.



Before I knew it the kids were home from school and withlots of catch up homework. Apparently the teachers areplanning for more snow days and are making sure thestudents will have plenty to work on in the meantime. PoorBuddy just didn't know where to get started.



The children had another snow day today. Alison was verypleased, but I was worried. This is the first day they've allbeen home all day, I'm hoping we'll have enough to feedeveryone.



But the last thing I wanted was for the kids to know thatGerry and I were worried. They know that we don't have a

lot of food in the town, but they don't know the extent of it.



Gerry came home in a mood today. He hasn't been promoted for awhile now. We're beginning to wonder if his hygiene has been

affecting people's opinion of his work.Clint, and all of the children for that matter, are just happy to seetheir hard working father when he gets home, stench or no stench.---Maybe if I can raise Gerry's aspiration above green he'll get promoted, I think that was the secret to Mara's success, perma

platinum status.



It seems that the children will never get to go to schoolagain. This snow is relentless. But, I do enjoy all of thisextra time I'm getting with our children. Our little Alisonhas a birthday later this week, so I have to get in as muchtime with her before she hits her teen girl angst stage.



When I see Clint painting at our easel, it makes me proud tohave pursued my love of art. Art gives all of them

something else to do besides play chess and read books onsnow days.

A creative mind is a happy mind. Though, Clint must havetaken my grass is greener comment to heart wishing thatwe had spring weather that he learns about in books.



Al is growing up before our very own eyes. She's becoming alovely woman, but I think our secluded life has gotten to

her. She said her only wish is to have a boyfriend.*---* Al's rolled Romance. She love blondes and brunettes and hates swimwear. Not that she'll see anyone in swimwear anytime soon.



Today I was finally able to get Gerry to stand still for me fora bit to lay down the lines for his portrait. We won't bearound forever, so it's nice to know that our likeness will bearound after we're gone.



Everyday feels about the same to me, I'm home with thekids because they had another school day, but I do still keeptrack. Today it's Saturday and the kids have all decided tostudy a bit. Al is trying to learn as much as she can on herown now that she won't be able to go back to school as ateenager.---It seems they all love pink too. ;)



Al has finally met another teen. Remember Orlando whoused to call all of the time? Well, that's him, and he doesn't

look too impressed with our Al.

Maybe she should try to find a different love interest.



The boys have always enjoyed playing chess together, but

it's Buddy who's really excelled at the game. He must takeafter me.---Sort of self explanatory but, Buddy's maxed his logic.



Gerry's finally been recognized at work. The last two shiftshe's worked, he's gotten promoted, first to the Executive

Chef, and then he became a Restauranteur.---Gerry has one promotion before he's a celebrity chef. One promotion to food!



Gerry said what he really needs to do now is focus on his connections andcome up with some more creative* solutions on how to convince the foodsuppliers to ship here. But I think he just needs to focus on us for now.---*Gerry needs lots of friends for his promo, this Gamer restriction is kicking

my butt! Oh, and he needs some creativity points too.

WEEK 8



While Gerry is at work, I try to do some networking for himtoo. I figure the more people I can convince to petition tothe food distribution centers, the more successful hisefforts will be.



It had been so long since I had seen Anna, so when Tuesdayfinally came around I gave her a call and invited her over.

When she arrived, I didn't want her to leave, so I took achance and asked her to move in with us. We had thespace, and even though she's much older than my sons andfriends with me, I would love for her to be a part of ourfamily.



Anna agreed to move in, and she brought her savings with her too. Icouldn't believe it when she told me she had had to resort to being apick pocket. She said it had been easier at the time, but she has

decided to quit that and is looking for a new job.--- Anna's stats: Knowledge sim who wants to be an Adventurer, yeah,more like chief of staff, sorry Anna.She's a Capricorn 7 Neat/4 Outgoing/3 Active/6 Palyful/5 Nice Just like Gerry, she was created by Alice/xie_belle and modified by

me, she was Oxygen from Alice's Periodic Table Sims.



The boys are now teenagers. Though they've been inseparable, they've developeddifferent ideas on the world. Clint says he wants nothing more than to study allday, primarily learning how the political systems work in other towns. He's sick of

being bullied around by the criminals, but wants to take a more intellectualapproach to the situation.

Whereas Buddy wants to have a large family, and realizes that the current lawsare limiting where and how people can move and live. The building restrictions of an 8x8 house just don't appeal to Buddy's ideal home for his future large family.



Anna is no longer unemployed. She's found a job at thehospital a town away. I am happy for her, but I do wish that

I had been able to live out my dream.---I was excited that Anna had only been with the family for 3days before she found a job in the medical career!



Now that my boys are teens, they're getting to know Anna better. And whywouldn't they, she is a very attractive woman. But Clint has especially taken to

Anna. I often find them in the kitchen chatting about how they both wanted to bean Adventurer*, but realized they needed to be a bit more practical.---*Both of them have the LTW to be an Adventurer, It's hard to not let them go for their LTWs, but this is a challenge after all.



Anna seemed very excited on her first day of work. It wasnice to see my friend in such a good mood.

I wish her luck with her new job, and she'll need it too!



With 6 grown sims food is even more of a worry these days.Fortunately my children have become good at fasting on

the days they don't get any food.---I'm sort of thankful I don't have Freetime installed so thatthey can meditate. No dancer restriction for me, yet.



They take turns getting a meal, and on the days that theyaren't hungry they make good use of their time. Clint is

often at the easel bringing color and art into such a grayworld.---The art restriction is actually paying off, it's fantastic tokeep them in such good moods since they're home all of thetime and hungry.



Gerry also spends a lot of his time painting, and he finallythinks he's come up with the perfect way to persuade* the

food distribution companies to sell here in Hiddenbrook.---*Gerry has all of the needed requirements for a promotionnow, let's hope he tops culinary his next shift.



Within Anna's first week at her new job, she has gotten herfirst promotion. She is now a paramedic and is learning lots

of valuable skills to help the people of this region. Whileshe's at work, she's always trying to persuade fellowphysicians to have some goodwill towards our town. But hercoworkers and superiors seem to think we're a lost cause.



Though our lives still seem bleak, and limited, we'resurviving. Slowly but surely I believe my family can returnthis town to it's former glory.

I know Gerry or I won't be able to see this town make it'scomeback, but we are hopeful for our future generations toenjoy life as we once did when we were younger.
