PLANNING PROCESS

Planning is the determination of the intended strategy and a course of action (the plan) for business.

The steps of the basic process of planning :

1. Appraising/Assessing the goals & objectives of the farm.

2. Assessing the industry in which the farm will operate.

3. Preparing inventory of the farm resources

4. Analyzing the situation within the industry.

5. Selecting alternatives to be analyzed (PPPP).

6. Determining physical inputs & probable production for

alternatives
