Qualification overview

The APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) is a knowledge-based qualification developed by the Association for Project Management that allows candidates to demonstrate understanding of all elements of project management and how these elements interact and fit into their strategic and commercial environment.

It is designed to improve the skills of the project management staff to enable them, through good project management practice, to make sound business decisions and thereby helping all project to succeed. APM PMQ is an internationally recognised qualification, which can be carried form one job to another, or from one industry to another.

The APM Project Management Qualification is aimed at those wishing to achieve a broad level of project management knowledge enough to participate in projects from individual assignments to large capital projects.The pre-requisites required are: APM Project Fundamentals Qualification. Good project mangement basic skills.6 months project management experience. We recommend delegates take Provek’s free online PMA6 Lite assessment to help assess readiness and suiltability.

The PMQ course is a tutor-led ‘virtual’ classroom style delivered over Zoom. The Zoom tool provides a powerful combination of video, virtual whiteboards and breakout rooms for small group exercises. It simulates very closely a classroom learning environment but with the advantage or geographic flexibility and zero travel costs.
