Limited Ninety (90) Days Parts Warranty - Apex Digital warrants the parts in this product against defects in material or workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of original retail purchase. During this period, Apex Digital will replace a defective part with a new or refurbished part without charge to you. Limited Ninety (90) Days Labor Warranty - Apex Digital warrants it will be responsible for labor charges for repair or replacement of parts on this product for a period of ninety days from the date of original retail purchase. Keep the original box and packaging in case your unit requires service. You are responsible for the shipping costs to Apex Digital. E-mail or call Customer Support for detailed instruction on where to ship your product for repair. A return authorization number is required before acceptance by Apex Digital. This required number must be clearly written on the package or the delivery may be refused by warehouse personnel.

Warranty repair from the original date of purchase: 90 day replacement of parts; 90 day limited labor warranty coverage. If you don’t have proof of purchase, your unit will be considered out of warranty and charged at a flat labor rate.

Thank you for purchasing the SM550 amplified indoor omni-directional antenna with Smart technology. It’s been designed to provide many years of viewing enjoyment by optimizing reception of both analog and digital broadcasts. Connect to the standard RF connector found on conventional DTV converter boxes and televisions or connect to a DTV converter box featuring the Smart antenna interface (EIA/CEA-909). For added convenience, AC power is provided through the interface eliminating the need to plug into a wall outlet. A digital clock is included.

A smart antenna combines multiple antenna elements with signal processing to optimize its reception pattern. When the elements of the antenna are steered towards a desired signal, they provide maximum signal strength while nullifying environment interference thereby resulting in better reception of digital and analog broadcasts.

Time is always displayed.Press ‘S’ once to view the current month and date.To adjust clock:

Press ‘S’ repeatedly to display month, date, hour or minutes setting. 1. Adjust your selection by pressing ‘M’ repeatedly until desired 2. number is selected.Press ‘S’ to continue to the next setting.3. Repeat steps 2-3 until all adjustments are completed.4.

Find an unobstructed area near your television for best placement of your new antenna. Turn on the Gain Controller and extend the telescoping antennas to their maximum length. After connection to your converter box is complete, run an AUTO-SCAN. You may adjust the antenna with minimal effort to optimize reception and nullify environmental interfer-ence. Adjust telescopic antennas and manuever the body left, right, up or down as needed.

Note: Depending on your specific location, building type, location relative to nearby tall buildings and trees, your reception results may vary. Visit www.antennaweb.org to view a list of digital broadcasters in your area.

To connect to a DTV converter box or TV without a Smart antenna interface:

While Power is off, connect the built-in RF cable to ANTENNA INPUT on your DTV 1. converter box.Connect an RF cable from the converter box TV OUT to your television RF IN.2. Plug-in the Smart cable to the Smart antenna interface on the SM550.3. Connect the other end of the Smart cable to the A/C Smart Interface adapter.4. Connect A/C plug to opposite end of A/C Smart Interface adapter. Plug into wall outlet.
