About IACCThe Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), established in 1968, is the apex bi-lateral Chamber synergizing India-US Economic Engagement. It was started by Ambassador Chester Bowles along with the then Industry leaders and visionaries like Mr. S L Kirloskar, Mr. Harish Mahindra, Mr. H. P. Nanda, Mr. Ambalal Kilachand, Mr. A. M. M. Arunachalam, Mr. Frederick Fales and Mr. John Oris Sims for enhancing US India Economic Engagement. Today IACC has pan India presence with 2400 members at 12 locations, representing cross section of US and Indian Industry.
The major objective of IACC is to promote Indo-American business, trade and economic relations. IACC promotes bilateral trade, investment and technology transfer, facilitates business collaborations, joint ventures, marketing tie-ups and strategic alliances through a set of proactive business-oriented initiatives.
IACC acts as a catalyst for sustainable growth of business between India and the US. In its four decades of existence, IACC has established operational connectivity with a host of business, research and developmental institutions in India and US in order to leverage each other’s capabilities for enhancing Indo-US business relations. The Chamber continuously interacts with the Indian and US Governments, and provides them feedback on bilateral issues relating to trade and investment. In essence, IACC also acts as a forum for its member companies to interact with senior functionaries of both the Governments.
IACC member companies are involved in a cross-section of business domains such as manufacturing, engineering, construction, consumer goods, electronics, IT, pharmaceuticals, consulting, travel and tourism, etc.
The geographical spread of IACC is unique as it operates through 12 offices located throughout the country. These are in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Varanasi & Patna.

SPEAKER PROFILE
Consul General Phillip A. Min assumed the post of U.S. Consul General in Chennai on September 18, 2014. His prior foreign assignments with the U.S. Department of State include tours in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Warsaw, Poland; Seoul, Korea; Tokyo, Japan; Bogota, Colombia; and Karachi, Pakistan. His Washington experience has included service in the Office of the Executive Director in the Bureau of Consular Affairs and in the Office of Japanese Affairs.
Consul General Min earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history from Haverford College in Pennsylvania and did graduate work in East Asian Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. He received a Master of Science degree in National Security Policy from the National War College in Washington D.C. Consul General Min is a three-time recipient of the State Department’s Superior Honor Award.
Consul General Min was born in the Washington D.C. area and considers his home base in the U.S. to be split between New Jersey and Northern Virginia. He joined the U.S. Department of State in 1987 and became a career member of the Senior Foreign Service in 2012. He is married to Eun Young Lee, a classical pianist.

Mr. C.V. Sankar, IAS., belongs to the 1982 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. He is at present Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Industries Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. He has held various responsibilities in the State Government including District Collector, Coimbatore, Secretary in the office of the Chief Minister, Department of School Education and Principal Secretary in the Department of Environment & Forests and Department of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj. He was involved in the Tsunami Rehabilitation Programme of Government of Tamil Nadu between 2005 and 2008 and was working in the National Disaster Management Authority, New Delhi for implementing the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project, a World Bank Funded project.
Played a pivotal role for Tamil Nadu Government’s successful conduct of the two-day Global Investors Meet on 9th and 10th September 2015 and attracted several investors as part of its largest-ever investment promotion exercise undertaken by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Also holding the post of Additional Chief Secretary, Transport Department as Full Additional Charge from 1.1.2016 and discharging the duties effectively.
As Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department he continue to provide strategic vision and leadership together with effective implementation of the industrial policies of the Government.

Dr. Lalit Surajmal Kanodia is the Chairman of Datamatics Global Services Limited. He founded Datamatics Limited in 1975. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Mumbai. Subsequently, he obtained an MBA and PhD., both from MIT, USA. He was a topper at MIT.
Dr.Kanodia is the Founder-CEO of TCS, which is today India’s most valuable company, with a market capital of over $80 billion.
Dr.Kanodia is a Ford Foundation Fellow. He received the distinguished Alumnus Award of IIT, Mumbai. He is one of the 10 persons included in the Hall of Fame published by Dataquest along with our late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and late Mr.JRD Tata.
While in the US, he was Consultant to the Ford Motor Company and Arthur D. Little. He has also taught at Jamnalal Bajaj and MIT.
He has served as the Past President of the Management Consultants’ Association of India and Chairman of the Electronic & Computer Software Export Promotion Council (Western Region). He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber and Chairman of its IT Committee. He is the Past President of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (Western Region). He has been a Member of the Executive Committee of NASSCOM. He also served on various Committees of the Government of India and the State of Maharashtra.
Dr.Kanodia is currently on the Executive Board of MIT (Europe, Asia and Africa).
He was the Honorary Consul of Chile in Mumbai (2002-2014).

Mr.A.Sekhar is the CEO of M/s.Spike Power Protection Systems & Technologies a first generation entrepreneur with an engineering degree in Electrical & Electronics from M/s.PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and an MBA from University of Madras.
He has worked in MNC companies like M/s.Hindustan Brown Boveri Limited (now M/s.ABB), M/s.Crompton Greaves and PSU of M/s.Madras Refineries Ltd., (now CPCL) and over 35 years of work experience. His interest and specialization in providing facility electrical protection for various industries and facilities and has a deep understanding on the electrical energy equipments, protection co-ordination, earthing & bonding solutions, Avionics and Renewable energy.
Mr.A.Sekhar has presented in many forums and actively involved in the business committees of various trade associations. He is also a member of many social and philanthropy organizations. Mr.A.Sekhar runs charitable trust to support education and medical assistance for the needy. Also heads a trust in his home village for temple affairs and annathanam.

Mr. M V Satish is Whole Time Director and Senior Executive Vice President (Buildings, Minerals and Metals), Larsen & Toubro is responsible for two business verticals within L&T Construction: Buildings & Factories (B&F) and Metallurgical & Material Handling (MMH).
Having started his career in L&T as Junior Engineer with a degree in Civil engineering from Bangalore University, Mr. Satish has completed a Senior Executive programme for London Business School. He has held various portfolios like Regional Project Manager – Bengaluru, Chief Executive – L&T Oman LLC, Head – Commercial Buildings & Airports SBG and Head – Buildings & Factories. His experience is rich and varied having worked across domains like hardcore Construction, Business Development, Contracts Management and Property Development. He has spearheaded the growth strategy for the commercial and residential buildings businesses and has been instrumental in bagging a number of mega orders to build IT parks, multi-specialty hospitals, high-rise residential projects and winning the mandate to build the tallest statue in the world – the Statue of Unity in the state of Gujarat which is at present being executed. Mr. Satish has played a vital role in establishing L&T’s credentials in the GCC region, especially Oman having served as first Chief Executive of L&T Oman LLC. He is credited for having successfully executed the Salalah greenfield airport project and the NMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He drives L&T’s expertise of ‘Design and Build’ construction solutions on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) basis, is an excellent exponent of tunnel form and aluminum formwork systems and an early adopter of precast technology for housing projects. A firm believer in safety at sites, Mr. Satish drives the implementation of latest construction practices at project sites across India and GCC. He has held and continues to play vital roles on various industry bodies, construction institutions and councils.

Mrs.Khanna was appointed as the Secretary General of IACC in December, 2014. In this position, she is responsible for enhancing US India Economic engagement, across sectors, coordinating and addressing Industry issues and concerns with policymakers, think tanks, law makers and relevant stakeholders. Her role also involves increase member connectivity with delegations exchange and visits and organizing Sectorial Conferences and Trade Shows.
Before joining IACC, she had a short work stint as an Advisor at TERI NA (The Energy and Resources Institute, North America) till October 2014, after which she moved to India in her new role as the Secretary General of IACC. Prior to TERI NA, Mrs.Khanna was working with Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Washington D.C. Metro Area for a little more than 9 years as Deputy Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General/Senior Director. In both her roles at FICCI, she was working on enhancing US India Economic Engagement across numerous industry sectors, engaging with thought leaders, captains of industry, think tanks, law makers and Government officials both at Federal and State level. Mrs.Khanna also took responsibility of creating and building relationships with Industry, Industry Associations and Bodies, working on Public Private Partnerships and undertaking continuous interaction and networking with Industry. Most of her career has been devoted to the development and promotion of Indo-US Trade.
In India (October 1981 – January 1993) Mrs.Khanna was the Vice President of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) handling diverse functions like Marketing, HRD, Industrial Relations, Marketing Communications and International Producer Sales, etc., where she moved on from The State Trading Corporation of India Ltd. responsible for International Marketing, both Import and Export commodities, projects, product development and market development.
She is M.Sc. in Physics and an MBA from Delhi University. As a National Scholar, she has won 150 awards to her credit in diversified fields.

Aerospace Engineers has launched its new manufacturing set-up named “The Salem Aeropark LLC” at Texas, USA. In addition to this, we are about to open a second unit of Aerospace Engineers Pvt. Vice Admiral B. Kannan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.) holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering, Trivandrum, M.Tech from IIT Powai and a Post-graduation in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute.
He has over 40 years of varied experience, out of which, for a period of 20 years, he was associated with different disciplines of Indigenous development of Naval Equipment, Integration of Equipment for War Ships and Submarine Construction. His areas of expertise also encompass Technical Infrastructure creation, Project Management, Quality Assurance and General Administration. For nearly 4 years, he was Programme Director of a Strategic Program of Indian Navy, during which INS Arihant was launched. He retired as the Chief of Materiel - Indian Navy. He has been conferred with 3 Presidential awards viz. VSM in 1986, AVSM in 2009 and PVSM in 2013.
His wife, Surgeon Rear Admiral Mrs Nirmala Kannan served the Navy for 37 years prior to her retirement and has now settled down in Coimbatore.

Mr. Vasanth Kini is the Managing Director of Titanium Industries India Pvt Ltd Bangalore India and is directly responsible for overall operations in Indian Sub Continent and Middle East Region. He started this operation in 2008 in line with Titanium Industries Inc’s South Asia and West Asia strategic direction. Mr. Vivekanand is the Country Manager - India region and is also Managing Director of Caterpillar India Private Limited, Material Handling and Underground Division (MH&UD), Tiruvallur. As country manager, Vivek is accountable to facilitate improved business results and relationships in India with the support of the Caterpillar organization.
Vivek holds the responsibility for being a trusted advisor to the group presidents and business unit leaders regarding business opportunities and challenges within India, providing information and analysis, as required and to take advantage of opportunities and respond to challenges. Vivek is also accountable for external engagements with government officials and the media. He supports the country Human Resource (HR) manager and region HR director in reviewing HR, leadership development and compensation policies within India to understand if issues exist relative to consistency, depth of talent and market competitiveness.
As a managing director of MH&UD, Vivek is responsible for the performance of the Caterpillar India operation in Thiruvallur as well as developing and executing the long term strategy for the facility in alignment with the overall Caterpillar strategy.
In 18 Years at Caterpillar, Vivek has held a variety of leadership positions in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, 6 Sigma and Caterpillar Production System (CPS). His specialty is in providing advice in the context of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, takeovers, factoring, derivatives & foreign exchange and structuring of deals. Srinivasan has been retained as a legal consultant by a number of large international corporations and Private and Public Sector Banks and financial institutions in India and abroad.
Recently, he has revised a book on Banking (Tannan’s Banking Law & Practice in India), 25th edition 2014.
Srinivasan has vast experience in litigation and has handled a plethora of cases on various legal subjects and makes regular appearances before the various High Courts and Tribunals across the country and the Supreme Court of India. He has provided effective resolutions for critical issues of law for domestic and international clients and believes in offering holistic legal solutions aligned with their business strategies. He is also a strong believer of ADR and possesses extensive experience in the same, successfully resolving several disputes through Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation.

SPEAKER PROFILE
Mr. McCaslin joined the Commercial Service in 1990 after serving as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State for five years. He was an Economic Officer in Korea, spending time at the U.S. Consulate in Pusan and the Embassy in Seoul. After Korea he worked in Washington at the Economic and Business Affairs Bureau negotiating bilateral trade agreements in the textile sector and then he served briefly on the staff of the Deputy Secretary of State focusing on Eastern Europe. This was during 1989-90, when these formerly Communist states were beginning their transitions to democracy and free market economies. Soon thereafter he transferred to the Commercial Service.
Prior to becoming a Foreign Service Officer with the State Department, he was a social science instructor at a private, independent day school in Dayton, Ohio from 1981 to 1985.
Recently he served as Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Prior to this he served as Senior Commercial Officer in Moscow, Russia, Warsaw, Poland and also as Deputy Senior Commercial Officer in Moscow. Before his first assignment to Moscow, he was the Principal Commercial Officer in Munich, Germany from 1997 to 2001. He is one of the few Commercial Officers to have spent considerable time working both in the domestic field and overseas. From 1990 to 1997 he was a Trade Specialist and Director of the Cincinnati Export Assistance Center. During that time he opened a branch office in Columbus, Ohio.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he obtained a B.A. in Russian Studies and German from Colgate University in upstate New York and an M.A. in International Relations from Columbia University in New York City.

Mr. Shanker Gopalkrishnan is the head of Madras Consultancy Group (MCG), a management consulting firm that he founded in 1985, at Chennai, India. Over the past three decades, MCG has completed a large number market analysis, project feasibility and consultancy assignments in several industry verticals in India, the Middle East and South East Asia.
Shanker’s consulting practice areas include Business and Marketing Strategy, Market Research, and Marketing Consultancy. Shanker regularly consults for MNCs and Indian firms and has significant consulting experience in India and GCC.
An alumnus of the Madras Christian College High School, Chennai and St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, Shanker holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, India. Shanker is a past Vice Chairman of the International Council for Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) and a past Chairman of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Tamil Nadu branch.
Shanker has been an adjunct faculty at IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, BIM Trichy and currently teaches at IIT Madras and IFMR Chennai. He teaches Strategy, Strategic Networking and B2B Marketing. Shanker has presented papers in international conferences held at Amsterdam, Bahrain, Beijing, Dubai, Dusseldorf, Guang Zhou, Istanbul, Krakow, Kuala Lumpur, Maastricht, Montreal, Melbourne, Moscow, London and Salzburg.

Mr. S. Ramaprasad is a Masters (M.Sc(Tech))graduate from BITS Pilani with a keen acumen for human relationships. He completed his NLP practitioner certification program from School of Excellence gaining insights on Neuro linguistic programming which influences human behaviour.
Ramaprasad started his career in Delhi as a production executive in Associated Instruments Manufacturers India P Ltd where he was in a supervisory role. He joined JK Tyres in the year 1988 and played a customer support role. He joined CADD Centre in 1989 and grew to become the Executive Director of the company in a span of 15 years. During his tenure in CADD Centre he began as a CADD Engineer and displayed tremendous passion in developing the business of a start-up company, Within a year seeing his leadership skills the management decided to promote him as a Centre Head at Bangalore.
Apart from being successful in his organisation, he was also leading a group of executives in a new venture called iKix 3D prints which specialised in 3D services. As a Chief Operating Officer he was able to successfully get across the concept of 3D printing services to Architectural Industry.
He is also an active Rotarian, having lead Rotary club of Madras West as its 50th President, brought about lot of vibration into the club with his interpersonal skills.
He enjoys Music, Playing cricket and keen on enabling people to be successful. His Wife Geetha is a home maker and daughter Ananya pursues her Visual Communication.
